Steam sales? We have bandai to come take our money every month
Hello and Happy Wednesday to all my readers here! Let’s Talk Gunpla is back with all new things to talk about over all the new P-Bandai announcements that were announced recently! I’m happy to say this round we have a well-balanced announcement for both monoeyed goodness and Gundam goodness! announcements and as well one VERY surprising P-Bandai MG announcement for this week!
First on our list is something from the Gundam builders HG line
HG 1/144 Hambrabi Suban (HGBF)

Release Date: 2017/09
Estimated price: SGD 24.00* (MYR 74.13* / USD $17.28*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation.

I never liked the design of the original Hambrabi it looked horribly weird and ugly. Not the kind of ugly where you can forgive (like the Agguy and the Gogg), this is the kind of ugly in which you look at it and wondered what the hell the people that designed this mobile suit was drinking at the time or smoking in that manner. Whatever that they were taking I really wanted some of that, because it’s strong enough for them so say this looks good.

Now, however, I must say this looks good. Out of all the redesigns, HGBF lines have been making recently. I really think this is by far one of the best redesigns. They outdone themselves with this redesign, I used to hate the Hambrabi with a passion, but now with the Suban I really wanted to own this beast of a kit. Dang, I really can’t wait to add this to my collection of unbuilt kits. Hahaha.

I’m really excited for this one, it really made me feel like that this is how the Hambrabi should’ve looked. Then it would be really a bad ass baddie Mobile suit.
MG 1/100 MS-06R-1A Masaya Nakagawa’s Zaku II

Release Date: 2017/09
Estimated price: SGD 60.00* (MYR 185.32* / USD $43.20*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation.

I’ve said before and I will say it again, more ZAKU II is always a good thing! Haha! Bandai recently announced in its Premium Bandai website back in late May 2017 that they are doing a project in promoting never before seen Mobile Suit kits by some of the Ace Pilots of the one year war most notably from the Republic of Zeon Pilots (Mostly taken from the Mobile Suit Variation series).
When it was announced I was ecstatic, mainly because it means we are getting more Zaku II and as well hopefully more variations of other mobile suits (I’m really hoping they make more MG Gelgoog kits I would buy them without skipping a heartbeat) the first one that we are covering is this, The MS-06R-1A Masaya Nakagawa’s Zaku II.

I must start by saying, I don’t really like the color on this kit. It makes the kit look somewhat hilarious as well I don’t like the placing of the horn, It makes the kit looks weird. My only thought when I see this is; “Why the hell it looks like a bald guy with a strand of hair standing in the middle of his head.”

Even though the kit itself looked ridiculous, the only saving grace this kit has is by its awesome decals. It really made the kit looks quite badass with all them decals. This is a kit you wouldn’t want to build without the decals. Without it, it really does look….funny.
MG 1/100 MS-06R-2 Robert Gilliam’s Zaku II

Release Date: 2017/10
Estimated price: SGD 60.00* (MYR 185.32* / USD $43.20*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation.

Next on the list of the announced kits, is the MS-06R-2 Robert Gilliam’s Zaku II, this one really gets my attention. If I could have my own custom made Zaku II this would be the kind of color I wanted to be painted on it. The decals on this kit are not as awesome as the ones on the Masaya’s custom Zaku II but it was made to look simple and elegant. I really like how it is, though I feel even without the decals this kit still looks awesome.

I guess the difference in color really plays a huge part in making the kit likable I guess. Though I somewhat wish that I could swap the decals for them. That would be something I might do. Hmmm.
Plus, I Haven’t yet had bought the MS-06R-2 Zaku II yet. So, this might be my first kit that is from this variant!
MG 1/100 MS-06R-2 Gabby Hazard’s Zaku II

Release Date: 2017/10
Estimated price: SGD 60.00* (MYR 185.32* / USD $43.20*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation.

You know what after looking at this one, I think I change my mind. This kit is what I think that gets both the decals and the color right. It takes on a more realistic color as compared to the other two. For that this kit looks really badass, I could look at this and really imagine this would be the kind of frontline commander unit that would be spearheading an assault through the Federation Lines.

With the decals installed on the kit, it really makes the kit looks more credible to make it look like a frontline unit. Somehow rather, looking back at the two other kits. I can’t help to feel like the Masaya one looks like something from a Circus and the Robert Gilliam one looks like a “Museum Display showpiece” instead of looking like something that is used for war.
This one however really plays the part of looking like a soldier. I think this just takes the cake from them two.

Bandai please come and take my money nao.
MG 1/100 Destiny Impulse Gundam R (Regenes)

Release Date: 2017/09
Estimated price: SGD 70.00* (MYR 216.20* / USD $50.40*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation.
I never have said this ever since I first started this blog but honestly, I love the Impulse and the Destiny Gundam. I really do think both were well designed and I as well must say they are both one of the most beautiful Gundams yet (well to me at least, you guys can beg to differ. Haha). So, I always have wet dreams of combining them both and have them be the best combination ever. That would really be a dream come (haha) true for me!
Oh, wait they actually have something like that? Wait, Bandai are you telling me that you are as well releasing a kit under the P-Bandai line and you are making it an MG kit?

Well, slap me while I cum. Bandai did announce this, fuck. It really is a dream come (haha) true for me!
This is a kit that is based from the spinoff series Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny Astray R, as you guys can tell it is based on both the Impulse and Destiny MG kit. I have a feeling that sometimes Bandai just knows what I fantasize sometimes. They even got the color right for this kit.

This is another case of Bandai; my wallet is willing. Damn, getting the Millennium Falcon is getting a lot harder now.
RG 1/144 Gundam Mk-II RG Limited color Ver.

Release Date: 2017/09
Estimated price: SGD 33.00* (MYR 101.92* / USD $23.76*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation.

Honestly, when this was announced I was surprised that Bandai could think of more ways of making the MKII more beautiful as how the other versions of it have been. I actually like how this one is turning out to be, it makes it look completely different and refresh as how the Titans and the AEUG version of this kit is.
It really makes feel like there is a big “What if’s when I see this kit” What if Amuro was instead the Main Character of the Zeta series. It would be interesting to see him working together with a more personal side as for how he was cooperating on the original zeta series.

Looking at this really makes me wonder and yes you can have my money too. Plus I wouldn’t mind getting another MKII despite all its issues, it was a fun it to build.
RG 1/144 Zeta Gundam RG Limited Color Ver.

Release Date: 2017/09
Estimated price: SGD 43.00* (MYR 132.81* / USD $30.96*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation.

This, however, is something that I’m not really looking forward to. The last time I’ve to build the Zeta RG, it was an unstable mess. I really had a lot of trouble of just keeping it posture and pose without it crumbling into a mess. It really one of those kits that I really dread getting to be honest.
MKII has its share of issues but the zeta just completely, for me at least doesn’t work in the RG scale.

Though I do like the color scheme for this kit, as for how it was with the MkII it gives a sense of the great what ifs. Though with this I really hope they’ll make an MG version of this instead. If they were to make this version to the 2.0 Zeta I would buy this in a heartbeat.
Well, we are finally at the last of the announcement, and how fitting it to be in my opinion one of the bigger stories that we got this week. That would be the;
MG 1/100 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom]
Estimated price: JPY 4,500* (MYR 172.16* / USD $40.14*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation.

This is by far to me one of the surprise announcement by the P-Bandai line. I was choking on my food when I heard of this news online. I have always loved the designs from the Advance of Z spinoff series and seeing all them new kits from that series turn into HG line kits was a sight to behold. All of them looked badass and none of them wasn’t desirable by the gunpla builders throughout the world.

So, I can imagine what’s on everybody’s mind when this is announced. A definite buy for us all (I Hope)
As I heard, the TR-1 is based from the existing MkII 2.0 MG series (which is brilliant), I really wouldn’t mind getting and building it as I had tons of fun with the MKII 2.0 back when it first came out. I really wanted Bandai to make this not to a P-Bandai thing but as a real actual MG main line instead. Then again beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. Plus, I am happy regardless to be finally getting the TR-1.

So, it’s all good still.
So that’s all the announcement and my opinions of them kits! So, what do you think of the announcements yourself? Is any of the kits announced here makes your wallet scream and beg for mercy? As for how mine is currently? Haha.
Do discuss, I do look forward to replying and reading through your thoughts of all of them. As well as ever you have my permission to share and as well you can show your support by liking this through any means this is posted through.
I do appreciate your supports! 😉
Anyways, that’s all for this week’s Let’s talk Gunpla! Do hope to see you all again for the Unboxing and my First impression on this coming Sunday! See you guys then and as ever have an awesome Wednesday!
p.s: before I leave tho

Gah, I don’t like P-Bandai kits, not at all Hambrabi Suban, Destiny Impulse, and especially the Hazel Custom all make me really salty, was especially wanting the latter. I never sit well with P-Bandai extensive retools, we used to get way more MG kits before, but now it’s all premium.

That’s why I feel we are treated like we are in an abusive relationship kind of thing.
With bandai being the financially draining girlfriend / boyfriend. I hate it but I would still want to give her all my time and money. The best part though? I still would marry her if she asked me to. Thats how i feel right now.
