Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.31

2018 is looking good.

Hello and welcome everyone to a new edition of Let’s Talk Gunpla! We do hope that you guys are having a great week thus far and as well we hope that all of your Christmas preparations and plans go well for all of you there. Christmas and the year-end celebrations is always something that all of us here look forward to, 2017 has been quite a challenging year for all of us here and as well I’m sure for all of you reading here as well. All we hope and look forward to 2018 is for us to have a better year ahead and hopefully a greater and happier year for all of us regardless of who or where you are.

Though 2018 haven’t dawned on us all yet, it seems like the chaps in P-Bandai have already prepared some pretty awesome announcements lined up for us to look forward to the start of 2018 and ones we will be talking about in our 31st volume of our favorite segment of the week!

So without further ado, lets get to the annoucements shall we?

RG 1/144 MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam (Biosensor Image Colour)

RG 1/144 MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam (Biosensor Image Colour)

Release Date: 2018/02

Estimated price: JPY 6,480* (MYR 233.19* / USD $57.15*)

*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Damn this color is making the Zeta great again.

We shall start first with an RG kit that no one asked for nor expected to see announced for 2018, the RG Zeta Gundam (Biosensor Image Colour)…… ok maybe not the greatest start for an announcement ever. As you all may know if you guys read all the stuff we posted here, we aren’t the biggest RG Zeta Gundam fan, in fact when we heard this announced we all here wondered why they decided to do so? Why don’t they do it with the MG Zeta Gundam Ver.2.0 instead?

Regardless of what we feel about the build of the RG we do admit that the Zeta here does look cool, the reddish coated colour on top of its original colour makes the Zeta Gundam look way cooler than its standard normal look and although they do use the same plastic material (for the outer Frame) that they used on another P-Bandai release, the RG Trans-am Exia, the red colour is less prominent, and you can see that the red is combined with the standard colour of the Zeta to really give it an awesome look.

Trans-aaaaaaaaaammmmmm! Eh wrong series.

It does look really awesome, it’s just too bad that they made it on the RG Zeta though, a kit that we can’t recommend in getting. The frustrations and the disappointment that you may get from building this one is not one to waste your money on.

It’s a shame really. We do like the look of this Zeta.

Well, if we ever get the Zeta Gundam this is the only form that I’ll leave it in. Any other it would be a waste.

MG 1/100 Gundam TR-1 Hazel Custom (Titans color)

MG 1/100 Gundam TR-1 Hazel Custom (Titans color)

Release Date: 2018/02

Estimated price: JPY 4,860* (MYR 176.02* / USD $43.16*)

*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

God, the titans variant is the best-looking one, color-wise yet!

When Bandai announced the MG Hazel last year it was probably one of the biggest things that were announced besides the PG Millennium Falcon and MG ZZ Gundam Ver.K.A as well it was one of the best looking kits we all have laid our eyes on this year and one that made us envy those that do manage to get and build this. It was a kit that had our genuine interest and one that we are looking forward to getting and building.

Seeing how fast we are seeing the MG Hazel leaving the stores, kind of makes us have a huge sense of urgency in getting here asap. We really hope to be able to get this one before it’s gone for good.

and we ain’t missing out on this one as well.

With that kind of demand we are seeing for the MG Hazel, it is no surprise that we are getting another MG Advance of Z variant announced for the P-Bandai line. We were hoping to finally see the TR-2 announced but unfortunately enough, it’s not the TR-2 we are getting but the TR-1 version but with the Titans color variant instead. We were hoping to see the TR-2 being remade in MG form but seeing this gives us hope that we might be seeing that version in the future? Maybe?

Coming back on the MG Hazel TR-1 (Titans color version) itself really is just a recolor variant of the previous MG TR-1. There isn’t anything new given besides the color that we really can see here, you can see you will get all the same types of equipment, same gimmicks as well it is still based from the MK-II. Regardless of that, it is still a handsome thing to look at and one made better with the Titans color scheme. This is a definite must-own even if you have owned the previous TR-1 before, the recoloring of the kit is enough to justify having this tbh. Plus having the two of them is going to be glorious af. Though we do admit its just more or less the same.

Fuckin’ awesome.

Not to mention in conjunction with this announcement, we have been hearing a lot of chatters online and we have been seeing online of Bandai’s initial plan in giving us more Advance of Z kits! Here we do have pictures the first tease of it during the Next Phase Gunpla Exhibit recently and by the pictures that we are seeing here it seems like we will be getting the HGUC 1/144 RX-124 Gundam TR-6 Woundwort by next year I hope. I do hope that Bandai doesn’t cold feet after announcing this kit. We have been waiting for a new Advance of Z kits since forever. Ha-ha.

We do feel that this is really made possible by the support that the Hazel is getting and if the Titans version sold well we might be seeing more of P-Bandai Advance of Z kits soon. However, we still feel that they should’ve announced this variant as a retail release like you did with the GM Command instead of this. Seriously, what the flying fuck Bandai.

Regardless, we still feel that 2018 is looking to be more and more glorious already. Well, P-Bandai glorious most likely.

That’s all we have for you peeps this week with the 31st episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. What do you guys think of the overall announcements of the kits? Does any catch your fancy? 1. Congrats Mohd!

Titans Hazel would be interesting if it was retail, I’d certainly get it, but alas, Bandai loves their premium service oh too much. Biosensor Zeta looks good but idk, it’s RG and P-Bandai, I’m very worried about it.

Hope 2018 has less P-Bandai if anything honestly, although at this point that’s a huge utopian wish.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Yeah, I hate it but P-Bandai has been releasing awesome kits again and again.

By the looks of it, it’s not going away anytime soon. Haiz.

and thanks for the wishes! 😀 He was really happy reading that from ya!
