Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.36

P-Bandai’s first 2018 announcements

Hello and welcome to our 36th Volume of Let’s Talk Gunpla! We are back once again and finally this time we have our first P-Bandai news of 2018! With the new Gundam Build fighters anime project edging ever closer to its eventual announcement (or release) in February, what better time to announce some HGBF kits….oh wait, some P-Bandai HGBF kits, silly me.

All joking aside, we really feel that the kits that they have in line this time around are seriously one of the best-looking bunch yet. Especially for the………

The Sexiest Gundam around

M91 Gundam, yes lets first talk about the best looking one out of the two P-Bandai announcements. When we saw this doing its rounds on our Instagram and Facebook feeds we really thought Bandai and sunrise finally come to their senses and decided to reboot the awesome F91 anime.

Unfortunately, though we were sad to know that wasn’t the case, however, we are content to see the F91 had a very insane makeover here, I don’t know about you guys but we feel when we saw this we all come to agreement that this is by far the best looking HGBF kit yet. Oh no we ain’t saying that all the other HGBF kits out there looks like shit, but honestly just take look at this….

The M91 stands proudly while holding his huge lance……wait that doesn’t sound right.

Damn this one is really a masterpiece. Just when you thought that they can’t do any better, Bandai just comes down to you and just simply say “Here look at this awesome thing that I have in limited numbers”. God, Bandai. You just know how to play with our heartstrings.

Back on the kit itself, by what we can safely deduce that this kit is based from the F91 HGUC (Released in Dec 2013) kit but, we can see that its really fully revamped look really fucking awesome as hell. You may be wondering what changes that you will get for this kit as compared to the F91, you may ask?

I hope if they ever decided to make an F91 remake, I hope they’ll use this design instead.

Oh, there are tons of changes they made for this.

Firstly you’d get upgraded horns, faceplate…..well basically a completely new head mold. As well a different backpack extensions, new waist armour plates, and the beam cannon system moved to the side waist armour from it being mounted on the backpack, new unknown arm attachment replacing the beam shield attachment, new attachment on the leg unit and best of all they re-made the bazooka system into a lance bazooka launcher thing with some gold shit (we are pretty sure this is going to be getting some serious sticker treatment on this part for sure) on it.

There are just so many upgrades here, they might as well call this a rebooted F91 MS. We know that we are as well not the only ones that think that way when we see not even 2 weeks since this kit was announced, P-Bandai already have to make a second PO batch shipment (which is coming in April) for this. We are really Glad to know that we are not the only ones that think that this kit looks amazing.

Definitely one of the best looking HG kits around.

HG 1/144 Tall Strike Gundam Glitter (HGBF)

Another very sexy Gundam coming our way.

Another kit that is announced with the M91 is as well quite a looker itself, although with most of the HGBF kits they looked like they are based on an exsiting kit. We can’t say the same is true for this because when we looked at this we can’t say that this is Based on anything because this looked like it is a new mold altogether. Actually, even the M91 looked like a new mold. Heck, they both should get a retail release instead…..

Well instead of calling this kit it is based on an existing kit, we rather say that this kit looked more like this it was inspired by the kit it’s from and by the looks of it, this kit is inspired by the 2014’s HGCE Strike Gundam. You can see that it does share many parts from the Strike, but at the same time it manages to look nothing like the kit it was inspired from.

You looked like you are more inspired by the Noir Gundam more than the Strike actually.

As to how it was with the M91 this one as well looked hella impressive. The recolored Striker backpack, new body molds, shoulder armor, weapons, head and some upgrades on the waist and the leg, makes this kit looked more like the AGE-2 Gundam. No wonder both this and the M91 had 2nd PO batch already, they both looked sweet.

As of how it’s on the Retail side, P-Bandai as well started off the year strongly with some pretty awesome looking kits listed for the start of 2018. Honestly, if this is how we start 2018 I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us for the whole year.

2018 P-Bandai looking strong indeed

With that ends our 36th episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. What do you guys think of the announcement? We really think that both the retail and P-Bandai is starting the year strongly, with pretty handsome looking kits, we are excited about both but honestly with how the speed the PO’s are looking we probably would be doing the PO for the second batch….hopefully there are still some slots open for all of us here…hahaha…. As well we can’t wait for the new Gundam Build Fighters anime to be out this coming Feb! Anyways, do let us know your thoughts on all the announcements here! 1. True, at the rate they are going I wouldn’t be surprised if P-Bandai gets more and more original releases…..

I hope that wouldn’t be the case, but with how things are going? I wouldn’t be surprised.
