Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.44

A mixed bag of P-Bandai announcements.

Hello and welcome back all of you awesome readers to our 44th volume of our let’s talk gunpla segment! This week we are going to be talking about some P-Bandai latest kit announcements. Though, this week is a pretty slow week, since we are only getting 3 P-Bandai kit announcements this time around.

However, we do have to say the three kits that are set to release this time is one that is although it is quite interesting, it is one that made all of here feel quite annoyed with. Though we are looking forward to them, some parts of us are yelling that some of these upcoming releases should’ve been given a Retail release instead.

So, we are still going to have a pretty interesting conversation this week, one that is going to be both frustrating and exciting for all of us here to talk about. So,  without further ado lets get into the first announcement, shall we?

Looking at this is quite painful tbh

Ah yes, finally we are getting this Io-Frame Variant that we have been waiting for so long to be announced. We really thought that this variant would never see the light of day, especially now when they have concluded the anime. Yes, we are glad to see this finally announced but at the same time…. quite disappointed that this ain’t getting the retail release that it so deserved.

Yes obviously we are quite torn on the announcement of this kit in P-Bandai form, because honestly……

It’s just a recolored Io-Frame Shinden. with nothing of note to it.

I love it because of its awesome look

Ok, ok, it’s not just a recolored Io-Frame Shinden, it also comes with…..*drumroll*….the same shit that the normal retail release has, really it does make people rethink on either to part ways with their hard earned cash when looking to buy this variant. Although again we do like to see this finally being made and released, we still can’t justify its existence in P-Bandai form.

Yes, we agree that it is good to have a ‘somewhat’ official release of the (Teiwas Corps Variant) Io-Frame Shinden but honestly, after seeing how similar this is, we felt this should’ve been a normal retail release instead. Though we can’t deny that we are still quite excited for this and might get it if it is out, we still we can’t recommend this to the masses.

I hate ie because it’s a bloody P-Bandai. but god damn this is one beautiful kit.

Unless if you are a big fan of course, then please do by all means.

Honestly, we really want to get this one, this looks so good

Next one on the list is an MG kit that as well we hoped to see being made into retail buuuut instead we are getting this in P-Bandai.

Which honestly, we really don’t get why.

Though the kit itself is a work of pure awesomeness, from what we can gather from the promotional materials we can safely say that the GN-X III is mainly based on the original MG GN-X (just like the GN-X Advanced that was released recently) but with the sharp fang wing like thingy (both on the body and the shoulder part) being replaced with something a lot less sharp.

Really looking qutie promising this P-Bandai kit

As well this variant is sporting the red color of the A-Laws making it look really intimidating (and a bit sinister) then the GN-X Advanced. In the equipment’s and the weapon’s side the GN-X III does get all the same weapons and equipment’s as its previous predecessor’s (both the retail GN-X and the GN-X Advanced), with an exception this variant is getting one sweet small shield…..wait that does sound a bit familiar…..anyways, so, we are getting a pretty huge line up of weapons for this variant.

This kit regardless of its origins is one that we really look forward to and it is really good looking as well.

However, as for how it was with the HG 1/144 Io-Frame Shinden, with the kind of role it played in the anime this kit should’ve gotten a retail release. Honestly, Bandai who wouldn’t want this in retail release? We know that we would love to get these, and we are still hoping that we will get the ESF variant of this kit in retail soon. If you do Bandai, then all is forgiven.

If only we have millions of ringgits in our bank account, then this scene would be possible to recreate.

Please don’t let these poor fags down, please.

Finally, we get to the last piece of the announcement, now let’s talk about the only thing that we felt (maybe) it deserves to get a P-Bandai release. What are we talking about? We are of course talking about the…….

PG 1/60 MBF-P02kai Gundam Astray Red Frame Kai (PG)

This is probably one of the best looking PG kits yet.

Yes, we finally get to the last and best bit of this conversation.

Talking about the PG Astray Red Frame Kai.

Really, we didn’t see this one coming, to be honest. Really taking on one of the insane Astray frame series, never we thought that Ban…oh sorry P-Bandai would have the gall to actually pull this one off. Already we can imagine seeing this on the shelves being gloriously expensive and us just reduced by just looking at this gloriously expensive kit.

Don’t think we would be able to afford this expensive thing anytime soon.

1000124022_5
this is really one impressive sword/backpack/beambow thing

Though there are no changes on the main base kit, we, however, are seeing some insane equipment’s here; the backpack. Sorry, what we mean is the beam arrow backpack thing. When I look at this I really have one thing that really came to mind when I saw this, this is INSANE.

Of course, this thing does look HELLA better than the MG variant not to mention the level of detail as well that can be seen in the backpack/weapon system thing. As well not to mention you get another extra sword for this variant. Yes, we as well noticed that for the PG variant, they lowered the sword mounting for this variant and yes it does make the KAI looks so much cooler than the first variant.

Really there is a lot to love when we look at this kit. By far the most insane PG kit we have come across with and one that we really don’t mind it being made into PG.

1000124022_9
Out of all the most insane P-Bandai kits out there.

Because really, even with the normal variant it’s just too expensive for us poor fags to afford. Would we recommend it though? Yes, if you are an insanely wealthy or if you are a HUGE fan of the Astray. For us normal people though, better go out and find that buyer for your kidney because sure as shit we can never afford to get this with our pay.

With that ends our 44th episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. What do you guys think of the current P-Bandai announcements? Is there anything that catches your fancy? This time around we are quite annoyed with the P-Bandai announcements, though we do appreciate it being release still, honestly both the Teiwas Io-Frame and the GN-X III should’ve been retail. 1. That’s why I was most hurt by that announcement tbh.

I really wished to see those in Retail not in P-Bandai, and hell yes we are getting the MG JEGAN!

OUR PRAYERS ARE HEARD, ALL HAIL THE GREAT PLASTIC GODS.
