Why, oh why P-Bandai, you take our love away?
Hello and welcome back to our 46th edition of let’s talk Gunpla! This week is a strange week since we would be covering both P-Bandai and Retail this week. Though this time around we are not being bombarded with news like we have been in this couple of weeks, however this week we would have one news that is going to be heartbreaking for most here.
Since we are combining news and have been holding the most interesting news at the end. Why not we do something different and talk about the most ‘interesting’ (or the most heartbreaking news yet) news first and would be the P-Bandai announcement for the…..
HGUC 1/144 RX-124 Gundam TR-6 Woundwort (P-Bandai)

Release Date: 2018/06
Estimated price: JPY 1,944* (MYR RM72.18* / USD $18.50*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Yes, you read that right. TR-6 Woundwort gets a P-Bandai release.
We gotta be honest, this announcement gets to us more than the other announcements that we covered on P-Bandai’s before. The reason for that is because we honestly thought when we briefly talked about this back in the 31st edition of this segment, we’d thought that this would be definitely be released as retail as how other kits from the Advance of Z was. We all were so stupidly excited for this…that is up until we saw this being listed on the Japanese P-Bandai website.
Seeing that shit broke our hearts, it is hard to see one of your most anticipated HG kits of the year getting P-Bandai release. Don’t get us wrong, we are happy that this is still being set for release but we really honestly quite upset that this gets a P-Bandai release.

Why Bandai? The smell of money is just too sweet is it? Fuck that man.
Because really this is not a kit that was made from existing HG kits like most of the P-Bandai kits, this is OBVIOUSLY A KIT WITH A NEW MOULD! Godamnit Bandai you just managed to pull off another ‘pale rider’ here.
As well to make matters worse, P-Bandai makes it hard for us to ignore this kit, just take a look at it. How can you ignore this beautiful kit? With its awesome gimmicks and pieces of equipment? Not to mention here the awesome color scheme too…but worse of all this just looks so fucking badass…..God this is really one kit that I know is going to be one that a lot of us would be hunting it down, regardless of the price.

And I shudder to think of its expensive marked up retail price when this hits our shores……this is going to be insanely hard to justify getting.
Seriously this is one of the most painful news we heard all week, but we feel that no matter what, we will still get you Woundwort no matter how much it hurts our already bleeding wallets. Fuck you, P-Bandai for making our lives hard as it is.
Really, fuck you P-Bandai.
Now with that out of the way lets now move on to some of the retail announcements!
HG 1/144 Leo NPD (HGBD)(Retail)

Release Date: 2018/06
Estimated price: JPY 1,020* (MYR RM38.99* / USD $9.99*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

And the first kit from retail that we are going to be talking about is a kit that is based from a kit that is isn’t officially released <insert yo dawg meme here> as of yet and even with that said, for a kit that based from a kit that doesn’t exist yet….it does look pretty sweet.
We would even go as far to say that it looked a lot better than the Wing Leo that we will be getting this coming May. Damn.

Though Bandai doesn’t make a lot of major changes to its overall look or on its overall design on the LEO NPD and it as well share many of the same features, look and weapons as the Leo, but what differentiates this over the original Leo is that this kit comes with option parts its heads and shoulder armour. As well not to mention it comes with two sets of backpack system, whereas the Original Leo doesn’t come with any external back-pack system but best of all though, it is the color scheme of the whole kit that made this more appealing to us more then the Wing Leo did, with that awesome grey color scheme.
As well with that color scheme, I’m sure it makes the job of customizing the kit so much more easier too.

Though looking at this, we all can agree that this kit does look like its going to be as excellent as last years GM/GM, maybe as well as good or better than that! As well Bandai does manage to make original Leo looking to be a very promising release.
HG 1/144 Geara Ghirarga (HGBD)(Retail)

Release Date: 2018/06
Estimated price: JPY 1,530* (MYR RM56.11* / USD $14.38*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

With the Gundam Build Divers episodes not officially released just yet and already we are getting more and more, Gundam Build Diver kits and a lot of the kits we are getting does look pretty awesome, and we like the fact that Bandai is taking all the underrated kits from the Gundam AGE series and giving them new lease of life in the Gundam Build Diver series.
However, this time they are not making another Gundam AGE variant, but instead opting to go with something a little bit unconventional by using the awesome yet underrated Ghirarga as the base and did some magic with the kit and turning it into something that looks pretty awesome.

The kit itself though, doesn’t seem like it had major changes to its base kit and the only changes that we can see that is made for this kit is on the clear parts sets on the back pack and of the leg section, as well changes made by removing some of the leg armour to make space for the bigger new clear part for Geara Ghirarga.
But really the best part of this kit is the color, just like the Leo NPD. The blue color scheme applied for the Gaera Chirarga is what really gets us here. Really this is one beautiful blue kit.

However, there is some irony that can be seen here with both of the Retail and P-Bandai announcements. Where the role of P-Bandai and Bandai is reversed this time around. With P-Bandai releasing a kit with a new mold and bandai releasing variants of the same kit (even though they are from another series but still they are technically variants of the same existing Gunpla). Really, looking at the announcements we really can’t shake this feeling of irony when looking at all of them.
Regardless we are still quite excited in seeing more of the retail releases. Hopefully, they both would turn out to be awesome kits, as well as the P-Bandai Woundwort.
We hope…

With that ends our 46th episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. What do you guys think of the current P-Bandai and the retail announcements? Is there anything that catches your fancy? This time around we are quite upset with the Woundwort announcement, but it is one that we should’ve seen coming to be as a P-Bandai. Though really what makes it more upsetting to us is that because its hard seeing bandai not having faith on a kit that does look to be something of a big hit. Then again it is their decision, and even though we don’t understand why it P-Bandai we can still foresee all of us here would be still getting it. I guess it is better we get some form of it instead of them shelving the whole project like they did before. Anyways, we do want to hear of your thoughts of this round’s P-Bandai and retail announcements! Are you as frustrated and saddened by it as we are? P-Bandai is dumb and I hope whoever made the decision to made a Woundwort a peeb gets fired.
Seriously, even most of the Japanese who are usually ok with P-Bandai are livid about this, that says a fucking lot.
Goddamnit P-Bandai why do you exist.

Yeah, i can imagine why they are quite pissed, since they did showcase this and never put any P-Bandai tag.
People wouldn’t as pissed as they were if they had thought to put that ‘P-Bandai’ tag but no.
