Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.53

Oh, P-Bandai how we missed you.

Hello and welcome back to our 53rd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! After going through 2 weeks of just us talking about all the retail Bandai stuff, now we will now will be checking out what the P-Bandai have been up to since we are away.

And sure, enough P-Bandai doesn’t disappoint. Though the release announcement wasn’t as massive as the retail front but from what we can gather from looking at the release announcements, we are indeed will be looking at a line of kits released to be making us all eat sand and sell our organs for.

So have your wallets close, because now, we are going to look at the P-Bandai’s release announcements. So without further ado, lets us now talk about all the upcoming P-Bandai releases, shall we?

God have may you have mercy on our wallets.

We were wondering why didn’t they include the parachute backpack for the Re-release kit. Well, now we know why they didn’t include it in.

With the release of the Re-mastered HGUC RX-79 [G] Ground Type Gundam recently, it is inevitable that we would eventually get the P-Bandai variant for this. We were kind of expecting to see this to eventually be released as a P-Bandai since we didn’t see this option part included with the Re-mastered Ground Type Gundam.

Though after looking at this kit in dept, we can really say now, that this is definitely the most complete version of the remastered HGUC RX-78 [G] Ground Type Gundam yet.

1000125322_3
This probably one of the best looking poses for this yet.

Why do we claim that since the Re-mastered retail version already get a lot of stuff already? Oh, that is for this version you do get a lot of stuff, we really mean a lot of things like the GM Ground type head, the GM Bazooka, MLRS launcher, net launcher and the awesome looking parachute pack backpack system. Really, this really is by far one of the most complete HGUC remaster RX-79 [G] Ground Type Gundam variant yet and it is one that is the most worthwhile variant to get if you haven’t bought the kit.

Set for release in this coming August, honestly, I really can’t think of a reason not to get the P-Bandai variant, I don’t think even the insane P-Bandai price would stop us getting this version instead of the Retail variant. The only thing that would really stop us from getting this is really if they were to close the PO for this before we have enough money do it.

I really just wanted to get this version so I could have this option head. The GM head is really the best thing made for this variant.

Eh loookie here, P-Bandai is giving us another Efreet variant!

I remember when we first talked about the Gundam Pixie in our last Let’s Talk Gunpla (Vol.47), we have already been teased with the reveal this variant of the Efreet then. We were certain back then that we would be seeing this being made, and lo behold

Here it is.

Though in terms of looks it might not be impressive as the Schined or the Custom, the normal variant of the Efreet, however, still manages to be a kit that we are pretty interested in getting regardless of its origins. Honestly, just take one good look at it and tell us why you don’t want this handsome little plastic robot.

1000125452_5
Really one of the best looking variants yet.

Plus, the Efreet comes in a very nice black/white/blue color scheme, really it is not every day that you’d see a kit that comes with this color scheme. Oh, not to mention that this version of the Efreet comes with a pretty nice-looking shotgun. However, if you are an efreet purist and is worried if this kit doesn’t come with a pair of sword like the previous Efreets had, worry not because this kit still gets those sweet looking swords.

However, we have to say that we’re glad that this variant of the Efreet doesn’t just come with them swords but also some normal-ish weapon instead, we were getting pretty bored seeing the efreet come with the same types of weapons over and over again. When we saw this being teased with the Gundam Pixie, we are hoping that this variant would come with something different instead of being given the same old shit, thankfully now we know it does.

1000125452_4
Its refreshing to see the efreet stop using knives instead and opt to use a more civilised weapon instead. A gun.

Overall this is one kit that we are quite excited about, though we would admit that by now, Bandai (or P-Bandai in this case) should really take it easy with the Efreets. Seeing another P-Bandai HGUC Efreet after we got the Efreet Nact is not really going to make more people interested in it, instead you are going to kill the public interest more then you might expect.

So please do take it easy there, we have one too many Efreets by now.

Just when I thought he is one reformed barbarian, oh well one can’t hope for much.

Both the front and back of this kit looks like one that we would definitely have a lot of fun with!

Aaah, finally we get to the best bit of this segment, to finally be talking about the MG Gundam Avalanche Exia Dash. Honestly, we don’t know how’d we feel about finally seeing this kit being made.

Yes, we are happy to finally see this kit getting the official green light after we have been waiting to see this in MG form for so long and really this is one kit that really deserves to get the MG treatment, because honestly, just take a look at it.

1000125385_3
Really this kit just reeks of awesome all around.

But at the same time, we baffled to see that this variant doesn’t come for retail. We have had this variant of the Exia being made into retail as HG and the 1/100 no-grade kit before and I do believe this is a kit that a lot of people have been anticipating it to come to retail. The announcement of this kit being release under the P-Bandai would definitely hurt those that have been waiting to see this kit in retail.

Oh well, at least we are finally getting it officially instead as another bootleg shit. So, I guess that is good.

Though when we saw the promotional pictures for this kit, we have to admit, we really feel like the MG Gundam Avalanche Exia Dash is really a work of art. The detail, the awesome gimmicks, the impressive equipment’s that comes together for this kit and let us not forget, the look, that awesome look of the Gundam Avalanche Exia Dash. Seriously every time we all look at this exia variant, we can’t help to want this to be the official look of the Full Armor version of the Exia. Just looking at all of that extra additional armors sets, the weapon mounts and not to mention that awesome looking skis attachment for this kit really makes this kit look pretty badass.

1000125385_6
With all of that shit crammed into the Exia, I would be surprised if it doesn’t win gold if it choose to compete in the Winter Olympics.

Despite its P-Bandai tag and the fact that we know this definitely be priced almost like the most expensive Ver.k.A Kits to date, we are still looking forward to get this kit as soon it comes out in this coming August.

We are sure you guys feel the same way too after seeing this awesomeness.

With that ends our 53rd episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Yes, as ever P-Bandai never seem to disappoint in the department of making us magically lose all of our hard earned money in a jiff. This is probably one of those P-Bandai announcements that are crammed with things that we are pretty excited for. After going through so many P-Bandai announcements we are honestly now both scared (for our wallets) and excited to see what they would have to offer the next time they announces something here. Anyways do let us know here of what from these kits that you are looking forward in getting or seeing more of and just know that we always look forward in reading and responding to your comments and thoughts of the kits and as well to this post!
