A very surprising last minute news.

Hello and welcome to out 58th edition of our Let’s talk Gunpla segment! This week we are going to head back to the retail side of things, because of this week we are having some piping hot retail news….and one that we felt is the best piece of retail news we have to date.

Usually, we would take time to digest and talk about it…but not this time…we really can’t wait for next week to talk about these exciting kits…..

So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

Have you seen a kit with a back looking as awesome as this one? No? We haven’t either.

This is probably one of the kits from the retail announcements that we weren’t as surprised to hear the announcement of, however this is one kit from all, that we are really surprised to see on how good this kit actually looked officially.

Reall, when we first looked at this kit when it was revealed back in the Shizuka Hobby Show in May, we thought at the time that this is an alright looking HG kit with it trying to look like a Gundam/hybrid thing. Yes, we aren’t as excited for this mainly due to the fact that pictures that we saw of this kit was quite far off and yes it was showcased in a very incomplete form. But now after looking at the promotional material…..

10544686a3
God damn would you look at all of the details….we are going to have some awesome time panel lining all that details.

We are pretty fucking impressed. It is a pretty impressive looking Gunpla/Sazabi hybrid.

Well since we are pretty unsure on what is the reason this particular gundam share the same designs as the Sazabi, but we are pretty taken by the look of this particular marriage of the two. Though with that being said, it doesn’t mean Bandai was being lazy with this one. Unlike the Tristan, the Moon Gundam does look like a kit that was designed from the ground up.

Yes, nothing that you see in the promotional picture is taken from any of the existing HGUC kits that is the market. Even the joints on this are unlike what we have seen before with the HGUC kit, the articulation and the fine tiny details that are seen in the joints is really impressive. It is good to see Bandai is implementing all that they have learned with the IBO HG kits and from the Gundam the Origins kit to this.

10544686a5
The last time we see a kit with a joint with that level of detail is back when we were building an MG kit…and here you see an HG kit with that level of detail…impressive

We as well are quite impressed with the types of equipment’s that comes with the HG Moon Gundam. For an instance, you get the clear funnel bits attachment on the Moon Gundam’s backpack that looked pretty sweet. Not to mention you as well get a pretty awesomely detailed looking weapon for the sazabi Moon Gundam, so far we only see the Sazabi inspired beam rifle and beam saber. We aren’t sure yet if all of that is final, so maybe we would see this kit comes with more awesomeness. However, we do admit even with just those things, the Moon Gundam still looked pretty badass.

This is definitely the one to get and by far one of the best looking HGUC kits to date.

Moving on….

another kit with some pretty impressive backside…

Aaaah yes, the Jagd Doga, with the announcement of the MG Jegan recently, we were hoping to see the Jagd doga being announced as an MG kit. However instead of getting this as an MG kit we instead get a……

REBORN100 Jagd Doga release….we are shocked. Not by the fact that we are getting this as a RE100 release but instead by Bandai’s reluctance in turning this kit into an MG form. Honestly, we can’t imagine anyone would not want an MG Jagd Doga. Since we are al ready have an almost impressive line up of Char’s Counter-attack MG line up, really we really feel like it made no sense for bandai to not make this into a MG line up.

So you can really imagine how dissapointed we were when we heard the news.

10544689a11
I wonder if this would be as homoungus as the Sazabi.

It as well doesn’t help when what we see that the RE100 Jagd Doga looks pretty fucking impressive. God, seriously the details that we see on the RE100 Jagd Doga is just fucking insane. The detail on the MS, its weapons and not to mention the effect parts that comes with it, just makes this kit all the more appealing to us here.

But don’t get us wrong, it is not to say that we didn’t like the RE100 Jagd Doga. To clear things here for a bit yes we are dissapointed that we aren’t getting the Jagd Doga as an MG kit, but despite that we are still looking forward in getting this beautiful plastic goodness. Why would we want to pass it this up? Honestly?

Though looking at the promotional items for the Jagd Doga, we admit that we can’t help to be concerned with a few issues that we found through our close examination. Like for an instance, the Jagd Doga does come with a pretty awesome looking Beam Saber, a quite a pretty rad looking one at that. However, from the promotional pictures that we see for the RE100 Jagd Doga….they only have shown us only the handle….and nothing more.

10544689a7
Its good to see a kit that comes complete with its own effect parts.

Another point of concern is that the manipulator unit a.k.the hand unit looks pretty shit. We were expecting that by now, bandai would ditch the ‘i grip on the beam rifle really tightly’ hand moulds by now and give the RE100 some properly nice looking manipulator set. Unfortunately for us, we are going to have to make due with that terrible looking manupulators.

We are aware that this might not represent how the final kit would be when its finally released and yes it may seem like we are nitpicking on the kit. But why wouldn’t we be? The RE100 Jagd Doga is honestly one awesome looking kit and to see this kit comes with all this little annoyance does frustrate us. This kit deserves better treatment, and we know Bandai can do better.

10544689a13
A pretty sweet beam saber compartment, why don’t we see more kits that comes with this kit of set up?

However we do know for a fact that whenever Bandai release these kinds of promotional pictures, all you see here is really what you get on the final release…. it sucks but thats how it is. Regardless we are still hoping that bandai would really make some awesome changes to this.

After going this annoucement, now we are pretty confident that we would be seeing the Quess Paraya variant soon but we fear that we might be looking at a possible P-Bandai release. Well we are still hoping that bandai would prove us wrong but at this rate?

I don’t think anybody would be surprised if that was the case.

10544689a9
Honestly, it wouldn’t even take much effort to change it to Quess’s version.

No backside action with this one. Only frontal goodness with this MG goodness

Goddamn.

That word really sums up our first reaction when we saw this the first time. How can we not? This is one Qan [T] variant that looks so fucking badass, and the original version is already one mean hombre. This really tops the badassery level of the previous version and we know why. Why you may ask? Well if we were to put it simply, that is because…..

More swords = awesome.

Really, you can never go wrong with more swords on an MS. Especially one with insane shapes with sharp edges beam sword things.

Anyways enough with the silly banter, honestly this is one Qan [T] variant that we are pretty impressed with. Though we are still getting the same overall desgin of the Original Qan [T] here, well with only a change from a flat GN Drive to a cone one. But really the real reason of why we are impressed with this variant, is when you take a look at its weapons….

Just look at all of that 7 swords inspired goodness. Really why do you wouldn’t want a Qan [T] with more BADASS LOOKING SWORDS?? Not to mention that you can have it in different modes and you can even combine them to make this Qan [T] look more insanely badass. Really who ever made this variant must be locked up in some mental institution, because honestly this Qan [T] is just too much for our feeble minds to take in.

However just like the Jagd Doga, when we look at this insane Qan [T] we do have some concerns with this MG kit, especially with its weight issue. Looking at this we can’t help to feel like this will have the same issue with the MG 00 seven sword, yes, you will seriously need a blue tack the feet to keep it in place. Especially when you mount all of that insane weapons on the kit, looking at that we have a feeling there will be no stand that would be able to deal with that weight.

Not to mention the pain that you will get when trying to pose this insane kit… We really hope that bandai provide us with a stand for the kit, cuz really this would definitely need a stand to fully utilize the action and look of its awesome looking sword thing. However we do admit that it not as insane as turn reds insane swords. But still it is pretty insane if you still need a stand to keep the weapons afloat.

All in all, we are pretty excited to see this coming for retail and yes we are still really looking forward in getting this glorious looking kit. Not to mention too the stands that we will be getting together with this kit.

God, our September is definately looking hella lit indeed.

With that ends our 58th episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! A really unexpected retail news this, honestly, when we were writing this one up, we was about to finish it with some SD retail upcoming releases, well we were going to be talking about the SD Gundam Cross Silhouette series. However the insanity of the retail news here prompted us to shelve that and talk about these…really awesome retail announcements instead….Honestly we can’t wait to talk about these awesome plastic babies…

Anyways do let us know here of what from these kits that you are looking forward in getting or seeing more of and just know that we always look forward in reading and responding to your comments and thoughts of the kits and as well to this post!

  1. Apparently the Jagd Doga is so powerful that it doesn’t ever need to pull the trigger on its rifle. I suppose with all those funnels it doesn’t need to shoot…

The Moon Gundam looks like an excellent choice to do some crazy colored panel lining. Like, do all the white parts with a blue and the blue with white. I think that’d really make those amazing panel lines pop.

    1. Hahahaha, that is a pretty interesting theory there. I might be able to sleep more soundly if that is really the case.

Though I do agree on the Moon Gundam and insane Panel Lining Ideas. I was thinking of mixing red lines and black and see how it would work with this kit. haha
