Nami? Are you not an HG?
Hello, and we are back once again this week with our 65th edition of Let’s Talk Gunpla Segment! This week, we are going to be taking a step back and talk about one Retail Kit that was kind of overshadowed by all the other AWESOME upcoming releases. We are as well will be doing an update on a kit that was quite surprising for us to hear about, recently.
Yes, though this is a pretty quiet week in terms of Gunpla announcements. However, we don’t think that there is ever a shortage of things to talk about when it comes down to Gunplas. Well unless Bandai goes bankrupt and never to be heard about ever again.
Only then, we might have nothing to talk about
Anyways, without further ado let us get into the important bits, shall we?
Release Date: 2018/08
Estimated price: JPY 1,530* (MYR RM56.02/ USD $13.74*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation
It’s a shame that we never talked about this awesome SD kit ever in this section because looking back at this, we realize that this deserves to be here on this spot as much as the others that were announced alongside it.
With its Unicorn/ninja-inspired designs it does have a very unique look. One that we do find ourselves quite attracted to and for an SD kit that is quite a feat since we are not really that big on the SD line of Gunplas.
However, this is one SD kit that is quite unique when compared to the other previous Gundam Build SD kit line up. Since this kit was developed under the SD Cross-Silhouette line up of kits. Oh yes, so that means it this is one SD kit that you can pull off some impressive poses with. Not to mention with the SD Cross-Silhouette kits getting some rave reviews from people, it does make us quite interested in having this kit be our first SD Cross-Silhouette based Gunpla kit.
Though what is even more impressive is that you can convert the same parts on this SD kit and turn it into a proper 1/144 HG-ish kit and whats more….the normal look of this…does look quite impressive. Though we do admit that when we look at this, we wonder how much of the parts is poseable/moveable when converted to this mode. Since there isn’t much material on this…we are quite worried that converting this SD kit to a its normal look might not be the best of ideas.
But if you can do more things in normal mode….than that would really be something that we would be hyped about.
After going through this kit it does make us look forward to this one kit and to know that we are getting this awesome kit this month….does make us really excited for this particular SD kit.
We really hope that this would be good, if not we can probably turn this into an expensive shuriken.

Yes after waiting for so long now we finally get the official name for this particular kit the Diver Nami kit. Though that’s not the only thing that we got from Bandai, we as well get a surprise last minute-ish Swap of the kit line up here, from this originally being slotted for release for the HG line up, now, however, it was finally confirmed to be released as Figure-Rise Standard kit.
We were all quite shocked to know of the sudden change of heart and was kind of wondering why they decided to do so.
We were wondering why the heck you need to change from being an HG release to this? Not to mention we were looking forward to be seeing this in a glorious HG box but to know it wouldn’t come with the awesome HG boxart now…does make us feel a bit sad.
No offense on the Figure-Rise Standard Boxarts, but honestly when compared to the HG boxarts…they are kind of lacking in a lot of areas.
Well, I suppose as long as it still comes as a retail release and yes its still going to be sold at the same price…we guess the change of lineup isn’t really that bad I suppose.
and with the kit looks like that, it would be mad for us to pass this one up…regardless of where this kit would be released as.
We are just salty that we aren’t getting it in the glorious HG with some glorious boxart on the front. Oh well..
With that ends our 65th episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! Oh yes, we are getting some pretty quiet week this round but it is one that we are glad it is because now we really can take a look at a very good looking SD kit that really deserves some love
And as well it’s awesome that we finally get to talk about the Figure-Rise Standard Divers Diver Nami (dang that is one long ass name) again. Seriously this is really one that we can’t wait to get and one that we hoped to be able to get our hands on….with the SD kit of course.
Anyways do let us know here of what from these kits that you are looking forward in getting or seeing more of and just know that we always look forward in reading and responding to your comments and thoughts of the kits and as well to this post!
