Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.75

More MG WBC insanities

And welcome back you guys to our 75th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! This week we will be covering 2 new P-Bandai announcements that we are really looking forward to talking about here and we finally have a release date for one of the upcoming P-Bandai MG WBC kits, which looked quite…insane to say the least…

So, without further ado, let us now talk about the two announcements, shall we?

 RE100 1/100 MSN-03 Jagd Doga (Quess Air’s custom)(RE100)

Finally, we have the Quess’s version in the house!

With the release of the Gyunei’s version of the Jagd Doga, it wasn’t surprising for us to see P-Bandai announcing the Quess’s version of the Jagd Doga. It was just in a matter of time that they did, we would be more surprised if they didn’t actually.

Plus, there isn’t really anything much they needed to do in converting the Gyunei’s version to the Quess’s version anyways. All they really needed to do its just give it a new set of a paint job, a different set of beam rifles and that’s it. You get Quess’s version of the Jagd Doga.

By the looks of it, we really can say that they really nailed it here, we were super happy to see the Quess’s version of the Jagd Doga does look quite good here! Then again the Bandai has already made such a good job with the RE100 Jagd Doga in general so it wasn’t that surprising to see them nailing the looks here.

A great many things that this version of the Jagd Doga comes with.but the best bits it must be the Beam Rifle Gatling gun thing.

Though, we do like to commend P-Bandai’s effort in making the Quess’s version of the beam rifle look badass. Heck, although we already know that Quess gets the best-looking one, however, we really didn’t expect it to look this good.

But, it is not to say that everything here is looking all good here, there is something that cheeses us off here with this version of the Jagd Doga…well we guess its better to show you guys what we are quite cheesed off with.

At first glance, you might be thinking…well, what’s wrong with that?

Well, we are glad that you asked. Well, from what we can gather here, we got to know that the Quess’s version of the Jagd Doga does come with an option to convert it into the Sleeves version. However, instead of coming with a different set of parts to make the conversion happen, they instead only include in only the ‘sleeve’ parts for the arm unit to convert this into the sleeves version.

Yes, you heard us right, they only included the ‘sleeves’ part only…and nothing more.

You might be asking then, why didn’t they just included it in or just make another version with all the different parts included in? Yes, we were asking that very same question when we saw this. Why didn’t they? It’ll make more sense to see a separate version of the this being made instead of trying to include them in and forcing people to paint it up if you wanna get that version.

Which is a shame because this doesn’t really need the bad rep that its getting…Besides being a P-Bandai of course.

Which kind of defeats the purpose of P-Bandai if you ask me. WE ain’t getting a P-Bandai kit for us to HAVE to paint the whole bloody thing. I rather they have another version of it or if they just include it in with the kit. If one wants to get it, they wouldn’t mind paying for it, it just made more sense to do so.

Anyways, regardless of what we think of the ‘sleeve’ fiasco, we do think that overall the Quess’s version of the Jagd Doga is dope and we are most definitely getting it.

But we aren’t getting it to convert it to the Sleeves version for sure. I’ll wait for them to make a full version of that instead.

in our eyes, you are still the best version of the Jagd Doga yet.

MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki Crash

MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki Crash

Release Date: 2019/01

Estimated price: JPY 6,264* (MYR RM 232.34/ USD $ 55.88*)

P-Bandai really takes a notch higher with this awesome thing…

What happens when Gundam Seed Remaster chaps decided to take on the job of redesigning the Zeta Gundam MS designs?

Well, my dudes, this is what would come from that marriage….the Hyaku Shiki Crash.

Well, that’s what I would love to think…if it is true.

Regardless, from what we are seeing here it wouldn’t be surprising if that was the case since a lot of the Hyaku Shiki Crash looked like something that was made by the same chaps that made many of the SEED remaster redesign. There are many reasons why I believe so, like the redesigned body, the insane amount of details and the last but not least, the fact that they managed to make it look lean and mean…just like those we’ve seen with the Seed Remaster kits.

The Hyaku Shiki Crash with its awesome beam rifle!

All of us really struggled a lot when we were discussing this kit, that is especially true when we found ourselves struggling to find anything that was inherited from the Original to this…Though it is not to say we didn’t find any…we do…we can confirm here that the leg section is the only thing that has remained from the Ver.2.0 and the manipulator’s system of course.

Honestly, we do feel that it does look quite badass and like the ones that we’ve seen here…it really doesn’t look like anything that we’ve seen to date. Yes, it may share the same fundamental look as the Hyaku Shiki since it does use the MG Hyaku Shiki Ver.2.0 as the basis for this kit, but honestly, they might as well call this a new kit.

Even though we do admit that we are pretty taken by how badass this Hyaku Shiki looked, but we would admit that we are pretty concerned with all of the redesigned parts…Because honestly it kind of look quite….fragile.

and which you can turn it into a shield unit! How convenient!

Regardless, we are quite looking forward to this badass looking Hyaku Shiki and this is definitely one that it would be insane of us to miss.

Hopefully, it would not be as fragile as the redesigned Seed MG kits have been…

With that ends our 75th  episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Two awesome announcements from P-Bandai and it looks like we are going to have a pretty busy start of the year. With both of them coming at the start of 2019 our new year starting to slowly look like an insane one indeed.

Yes, we are aware of the other P-Bandai HG’S that was announced today, but we figured that we want to give it time to think about em and contemplate on how the two of them makes us feel.

Plus with Kimi being sick and all we really have to keep this week Let’s talk Gunpla short…

We will be back with more Let’s Talk Gunpla Segment on the next coming Wednesday and Kimi will be back again this Sunday hopefully with the review for the MG 1/100 RGM-89 Jegan. So do look forward to that.
