HELLO!
Kimi here and I am back once again this week with a new edition of our Unboxing and Frist impressions post! This week we are going to be doing an unboxing of one of the most talked about and one that has been getting a lot of positive press from a lot of Gunpla builders… Yes, this week (if the title is not obvious enough, haha >.<) I’m going to finally get to unbox this wonderful RG Sazabi.
I’ve been putting this off for a while since there were seriously a lot of kits that was on my backlog, and plus since I have had built a Sazabi (the MG Ver.K.A) back in March this year I thought to myself why not give myself sometime before getting to work on another Sazabi?
To be honest though? I realized that was really one of the hardest things to do when you have this around. Especially when you have a kit with a beautiful box like the RG Sazabi around. Though to be really frank when it came down in terms of box art itself, the concept isn’t any different from the other RG kits that we’ve seen but somehow rather that simple concept here made the RG Sazabi looks really beautifully badass. I don’t know what Bandai did but really this RG box is becoming one my favorite RG box arts to date.

Though this isn’t just an RG kit that comes with a beautiful box…it is as well comes with one of the BIGGEST RG boxes that we’ve seen to date! It was so big that at a glance it looked almost like an MG box, don’t believe me? Take a look at this.

That is one impressive looking box, right? Though, yes, it might not be as thick or as huge as some of the other existing MG boxes. But for a 144 kit? There is nothing to date that looked this impressive……..

well yes, there is that……
Anyways, my point is its been a while that I’ve seen a 1/144 kit that had a box that is an impressive as this and looking at how awesome the RG Sazabi looked, it is really making me look forward into building it.
What’s more, it is still quite nice to see the box filled with awesome info on the new RG gimmicks and as well what things to expect with this version of the Sazabi. Not to mention they have the side box to be filled with all the sexy pics of the RG Sazabi. Damn, Bandai really did a great job with the box here because, with all of the awesome things that I see here, I reckon its really hard to justify not getting this awesome looking kit.

This is really looking quite promising already.
As we moving on to the unboxing, I realize immediately that I had an even harder job trying not to go insane by not working on this. Why? Well, that is because as I unboxed this I realized that it has one of the most insanely detailed parts and not to mention one of the best-looking runners out of all the RG kits that I’ve seen to date. Though there some elements here that I wasn’t expecting to see here when I unboxed the kit.

Prior to this, I have to say that I’ve really gone around and seen a lot of the promotional materials for the RG Sazabi, somehow rather in the back of my mind, I was kind of expecting the RG Sazabi would be having a lot of shiny red parts/runners. More precisely I was expecting to see runners like the one seen on the Sinanju. But surprisingly enough, it wasn’t really the case here. All the red runners looked normal, no to be more precise it had this kind of matte finish to it and it really comes with none of that shiny nonsense here. Really, I was really honestly surprised by the way Bandai kept themselves back from going all out batshit crazy with this kit.
Really, I really wanted to thank you Bandai for restraining yourselves from putting all that nonsense here. To be really frank, I prefer these kinds of parts over the overly shiny and gaudy ones. I’m sure most of us here prefer it to be so as well.

Moving on to the manual…. well all I can say by what I can see here. Is that, this is a pretty much a standard RG manual with them having some bits of the lore translated and some of the parts…well, untranslated of course. But honestly? To see some of the building instructions of the RG Sazabi to have English translated instructions is really nice. One that I don’t that ever really put into words here on how much I really appreciate having that in the manuals.
I guess since I was finding myself struggling with some sections of the RG Exia due to some major parts of the instructions being in Japanese, it was really nice to see the RG Sazabi’s manual to have some familiar language there.

Regardless, I have to say as I spend most of my time here looking at all of this awesomeness in this awesome box. It does really making me quite excited to really get into the business of working on this kit. There is really so much exciting things here that I am really looking forward to experience when I finally get to work on this awesome thing.
Overall I could say that the RG Sazabi is something that I am really looking forward to working on it and as well I really hope that this kit is as good to build as I did with the unboxing.
I have a feeling that this might be as good as the MG Sazabi Ver.K.A that I have built this year. I may be wrong, but there is a lot of positive indicators here to support my feelings over it! I really can’t wait to start work on this!
With that ends the Unboxing and First Impressions of the RG 1/144 MSN-04 Sazabi (RG)! Really this is really one of those unboxings that we do find the kit to be quite promising and at the same time the one that I really had a lot of fun doing!
Honestly, It really does have the makings of a great gunpla. I really hope that I’m not wrong.
Anyways, we will be back again this week more Let’s Talk Gunpla Segment on the coming Wednesday and we will be back as well on the coming Sunday with the review for the RG 1/144 GN-001 Gundam Exia (RG)! So do look forward to that!
