A Destiny Revealed…in the HGCE form
We are back again this week with our 88th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! This week we will be covering the release announcement from the retail side on an HG kit that was teased to us at the start of this looking to be quite exciting 2019. The tease that if we were, to be honest, really got us all quite excited for its eventual reveal!
What HG kit that we are talking about here?
Well, if you have been following our blog you will know what HG kit that we are going to be talking about and to those that is just joining us… well strap yourselves up because we are going to be talking about it here, today.
So without further ado….lets get into it, shall we?

OH, YES! We finally we have the official release date and some of the promotional pictures of our most anticipated HGCE of 2019!
Since the release of the teaser a few weeks back, this kit has been something that has been lingering in our minds and has been something that we kept having dreams about owing it (really). Honestly, we have been looking forward to be hearing more of. So yeah, you can imagine why we were pretty excited to be getting more juicy details about our favorite MS.
And really, what a reveal it was.
We were all really quite impressed by how the HGCE Destiny looked, we were expecting Bandai to just simply rehash the same look from the original HG version which kind of loosely based from the look from the anime. But no, from what we are seeing here the HGCE Destiny parts looked a lot more detailed, leaner and meaner than how the original HG version looked. As well seeing the recent trend of having the mainline HG kits having an inner frame construction, we have no doubt that the HGCE Destiny will as well come with some form of an inner frame system.
Besides the improved looks, Bandai as well looked like they made some improvements on gimmicks and the overall joint system of the HGCE Destiny. It does look like we would be able to stretch the kit up and have it posing just like how the destiny was depicted in the show (we were thinking of posing it up just like how it was in the OP actually), and as well it does seem like the HGCE would have a much more improved pose-ability when compared to the much older HG version.
What’s more, the really liked how the newly redesigned ‘wings of light’ clear part that is included with the kit… looked, honestly in the new version the wings of light part looked pretty badass here. We were pretty surprised by how good the HGCE Destiny’s wing of light looked when compared to the one seen on the original HG Destiny. The insane detail and just the sheer badassery what is seen here made us wonder if this awesome clear part would work with the RG destiny kit. Because we do think that it would be a good replacement for the discontinued RG version of the wings of light.
Even though things are looking quite positive so far here, it is not to say that we have nothing to be concerned about the HGCE Destiny. For the matter of a fact, we do have something that we are a bit concerned with here.
From the promotional that we see Bandai have been so generously provided, we don’t really see them showing the HGCE Destiny using the mounted beam cannon in any of the promotional materials. which kind of both baffling and at the same time is making us quite worried, since we really don’t know if the beam cannon is fixed to the wing unit or if it is detachable and working we do not know how well it would look or work for this version of the HGCE kit.
Regardless, even that doesn’t really hamper our excitement for the upcoming kit. In fact that I would say that I raised our interest to get the kit even more now because we are now driven by the curiosity of seeing how would the beam cannon work in this version of the HGCE Destiny.
Definitely, one we are most likely will be getting as soon as it’s out in this coming May and one that we are really looking forward to seeing more of!
With that ends our 88th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of this week’s retail announcement? Are you as excited for the HGCE Destiny as we do? Do let us know of your thoughts here and we look forward to reading about what you think of the kit! Really we are really looking forward to this particular one and we do hope that it would be as good to make like all the other awesome HG’s that we have built last year!
We are pretty sure that we would be having wet dreams again about it tonight..well when I mean wet I mean drenching ourselves with our own saliva kind of wet…
Definitely, not the kind of wet that you are thinking…..or is it?
