More awesome shenanigans this week from the P-Bandai side
HELLO!
We are back again this week with the 91st episode of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment and this week we are going to be taking a look at this week’s P-Bandai upcoming release announcements! From what we are seeing here so far it does look like again P-Bandai pulled off another quite interesting release announcements!
So, without further ado let us get into it shall we?
HG 1/144 GNX-604T Advanced GN-X (Deborah Galiena variant)

Release Date: 2019/04
Estimated price: JPY 2,160* (MYR RM 79.66* / USD $ 19.55*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

When we saw this kit, we really can’t help to be reminded of the MG version of this kit that we talked about last year. We remembered it as to be quite a good looking red GN-X and not to mention quite expensive too. Though admittedly it looked fairly similar to another P-Bandai MG GN-X Advanced release, which is why we weren’t as interested with it when we saw it. Though, we do admit that the more we looked at it the more we were starting to like the kit.
But due to the lack of funds and the very expensive nature of the kit, none of us here managed to purchase this kit and we all really feet bad for missing out on this awesome kit.

However, there was now a glimpse of hope…. and it started with the announcement and release of the HG version of the ‘Regular’ GN-X Advance by P-Bandai last year… Which gave us hope that we would be able to own a much cheaper version of this awesome GN-X Advanced variant.
However, since the release of the HG version of the ‘Regular’ GN-X advanced last year, we were wondering and waiting for P-Bandai to eventually grace us with the HG version of the Deborah’s GN-X. Now, FINALLY we get what we have been waiting to hear about, and man oh man what a glorious little plastic this thing is.
Though the kit itself doesn’t actually comes with anything new to its name and just like its MG counterpart the only thing that is different here with the regular version is really the color scheme. But just like the MG version, the HG variant is one good looking kit and this time we really plan not to miss out on getting the ‘char’ version or a.k.a the best version of the HG GN-X Advanced kit.

We are pretty excited to see more of this and we are most likely will be doing a pre-order of this, time to undo the mistakes of 2 years back.
RG 1/144 Armed Armor VN/BS Expansion parts for Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn

Release Date: 2019/06
Estimated price: JPY 1,620* (MYR RM 59.75* / USD $ 14.66*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

When we all saw this we thought to ourselves at first, “Oh great, another Unicorn Gundam variant?” up until we realized that this isn’t a full kit release, but instead, it is just a kit expansion parts release for those that have already owned the RG Banshee Norn kit.
To be honest, we were all quite impressed and surprised by P-Bandai’s move and kudos to them for doing something that was unexpected for once!
Not to mention too, that P-Bandai did a pretty good job in the design on the RG version of the Armed Armor because the expansion parts looked pretty badass. Both the Armed Armor BS and the VN attachment overall look fits well on the kit and they did such a damn good job at it that it doesn’t at all looked like something that was tacked on at the last minute. To be really frank, when we look at this we realized that we have almost forgotten how badass the Armed Armor attachment was on the RG Banshee.

We wonder why isn’t this used during the final battle? It would be really epic if we get to see all of that awesomeness square off against the Neo-Zeong.
Honestly, though expansion part, the Armed Armor VN/BS is really something that we kind of hoped to see being made eventually. Since this weapons system did get a lot of screen time in the series it would be bonkers for them not to release these. Though, while we were staring at this, we all can’t help to wonder, why isn’t this released together with the retail’s RG Banshee?
Regardless, we do like how this expansion parts looked so far and yes, we are definitely will be getting this expansion as soon as its out! Plus since we haven’t really gotten the retail version of the RG Banshee, this particular might not just convince us to get the RG Banshee now, it might inspire more people to get the RG Banshee now.

When we think about it, dang that is a pretty smart business move. Dangnamit Bandai.
With that ends………oh wait there is more news from Bandai? Oh, it’s not gunpla related? So why bot……OH, MY PLASTIC GODS……
1/5000 Imperial-Class Star Destroyer (Lighting Model) (Bandai Star Wars)

Release Date: Somewhere in Summer 2019
Estimated price: TBC*
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Yes yes, we know that this particular news isn’t really a piece of P-Bandai news nor is it gunpla related. But when we saw the Star Destroyer promotional material being shared throughout the FB sphere, we knew that we gotta talk about this awesome thing.
Because when we saw the promotional material for this, all of us here immediately remembered seeing the awesome pictures of the GODLY 1/1700 scale version that was showcased to the public back in 2014 during the Tokyo Toy show expo. Which we never heard about ever again after that.
But to be honest, though, we knew why we didn’t see more of it ever again after its debut. Well, one of the reasons was due to the insane asking price for this (it was rumored to be priced at RM 10,000 / USD $ 2453.80) and this is when you remember the Star Destroyer’s massive size. Definitely, it’s a kit that really requires you to have a massive space to store, and to be honest? If the kit itself is that huge, I can’t imagine how huge the packaging would be if they were to release this to the masses.

So when they announced a much more scaled down (but still quite huge) version of the Star Destroyer a few days back, we were honestly pretty excited for it.
Because why wouldn’t we? Even from the short promotional video, we can already tell that this is going to be an epic kit. We can see that some of the molds are looking to be quite impressive and not to mention the level of detail that is seen in certain parts of this kit is just freakking insane. Its almost like we are seeing the actual movie prop being used here.
However……
Although we can’t confirm anything yet from looking at this promotional piece, but from what we are seeing here, there is something about the upcoming 1/5000 Star Destroyer kit that we are pretty bummed out to see. Which is when we realized that the starboard heavy turbo laser cannons looked to be molded on the section itself. Which is a shame since we were kind of expecting it to be a separate piece altogether.

But seeing on how detailed most of the kit was, we were hoping that we would be wrong and Bandai does make a separate part for the Star Destroyer’s Starboard side Heavy Turbo Laser Cannons. Seeing how detailed the kit is, it would really be a shame if Bandai just decided just not add more in.
Regardless, we do think that overall, the kit does look quite promising, to say the least, and seeing that it as well comes with a pretty badass lighting system does make owning and possibly building this kit to be one epic endeavor indeed. But, since nothing is really confirmed yet, we will keep a close eye on this kit and hopefully, we would be able to give a much more substantial update soon! 😀
Now we have to make space for this upcoming epic thing!
and before we end, here is some promotional video from bandai!
With that ends our 91st edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of this week’s P-Bandai and the last minute Star Wars kit announcement? Is there any kit that you see here that is of interest? Again, we have to commend P-Bandai for again announcing some pretty awesome kits and we are pretty excited to see more of the awesome things to come.
However, that unexpected Star Wars release announcement from the retail side is really something. Seeing on how awesome the whole thing was, it is hard for us to not to be excited about the coming announcements, it looks like Bandai really has alot for us to look forward to and the best part? The year is just starting!
Anyways, we will be back again with more Let’s Talk Gunpla Segment on the next coming Wednesday and this Sunday KIMI will be back with the review for the No Grade 1/100 RXR-44 (F-50D) Guntank R-44 (NGF91)! So do look forward to that! 😀
