Hey, is that a new Exia that I see there?
HELLO!
We are back again this week with our 96th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. This particular week has been quite a quiet week and originally we were planning to do a different content for this weeks segment. But somehow rather P-Bandai manages to slip some announcements through this week and it is one that, comes from the 00 Gundam Side stories.
Which is what we are going to be talking about today. So without further ado, let’s get into it, shall we?
RG 1/144 GN-001REIII Gundam Exia Repair III (RG)
Release Date: 2019/06

When we saw this announced today, we really had to stop whatever we stuff that we were planning for today’s content and just focus on talking about this one. Because….well just take a look at this….
You probably can already tell by looking at this at why we had to change our ‘work in progress’ content as soon as you see this right? Because seriously, how does one not want to talk about this kit as soon as you see this awesome Exia?
It would really be insane if we were to ignore this kit if I were, to be frank.
Enough of that talk, now let us talk about the awesome kit itself, shall we?
The Exia Repair III probably had one of the most extensive upgrades that we’ve seen when compared to the previously released Exia Repair II variant (Which was aswell released under the P-Bandai banner). The design, taken from the Gundam 00V: Battlefield Record’s graphic novel, the Exia Repair III does seem to have a lot of new molds that are used here. Like for instance, new shoulder armor, a recolored Repair II’s back waist skirt armor, new knee armor parts, and a pretty badass looking folding GN Long Rifle unit.
Oh, before we forget…they as well replaced Exia’s GN Drive for the really awesome looking GN Compressor unit. However, even with all of that said and done, it still retains many of the Repair II’s trait, like the lack of the GN Cables on the arm unit, the aforementioned back skirt armor, and that sweet GN Sword Kai. which we admit really ads to is badassery.
Not to mention too that even with all of this new upgrades, it doesn’t seem like it hampers with its articulation. It still looks like the RG Exia Repair III will still be able to pull off all the same-ish action like all its previous Exia variants. Though, we do admit that we are quite worried about the balancing issues tho…Cause it does seem like the Exia might either be too back heavy or front heavy, depending on the poses.
Seriously this kit really has a lot of awesome things that were included with the kit, it almost feels like Christmas really comes early for all the diehard Exia fans (which is most of us here). We do think that it comes with enough new stuff to justify its purchase even with the insane price that this would be retailed in. We do think that this kit is good for both the collectors and 00 Gundam fans.
This is definitely one that we really look forward to seeing more of and possibly get in this coming June ’19!
MG 1/100 GNT-0000 00 Qan[T] Full Saber [Special Coating Ver.] (MG)

When we all looked at this MG kit, we admit that we were all really quite baffled by it.
Why?
Well, its because we really think that a shiny version of this kit is really quite unnecessary. Especially when the shiny version of the MG kit ruins the already handsome look of the MG Qan[T] Full Saber.
Really why did they think that this is a good idea? I’m pretty sure someone could’ve looked at this and said, “wait up, waaaaaait up. didn’t we just make the MG Qan[T] look even worse?”
Well, I guess P-Bandai didn’t get the memo and decided to still make the shinier version of this MG kit. What made it all worse is the fact that since it is released under the P-Bandai banner, we know that it would be INSANELY EXPENSIVE and to think that you would be getting this?
Seriously, you’d better off getting something else to sell your kidney for.
Like really.
Plus with the fact that this kit doesn’t really have anything new to offer besides the new shiny look, makes the value prospect for this even worse.
This is definitely not the kit that we would recommend to get, we still think that you are better off getting the normal variant then this tbh. Plus we feel that there is better MG P-Bandai kits that are coming that would be a better purchase, heck with that kind of asking price, you might as well get a PG kit instead of this.
Honestly, there is definitely better kits out there that you can sacrifice your kidneys to…
