A week of MG GM P-Bandai announcements
HELLO! We are back!
For this weeks 98th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will once again will be looking at P-Bandai for some of their new gunpla announcements that were made recently and yes we finally have the final word of our most anticipated MG kit to have a release date….as a P-Bandai release……
*sighs* Well, without further ado let us get into it, shall we?
MG 1/100 RGM-79SP GM Sniper II (Lydo Wolf Custom colors)
Release Date: 2019/07
Estimated price: JPY 4,104* (MYR RM 150.62*/ USD $ 36.95*)

Not content with just announcing one sexy kit, it seems like P-Bandai has another sexy kit up and coming for our eyes to feast on. But this time we are going to be getting a sexy GM.
Well to be more precise, we are going to be getting one of the sexiest GM Sniper II’s that we’ve seen to date; The MG Lydo Wolf Custom GM Sniper II.
At a first glance, you will notice that there isn’t really anything new that was added here for this version of the GM Sniper II over its retail counterpart. It still has all the same types of equipment and the MS itself, unlike the White Dingo’s version, has no new addition besides the ones that you are already familiar with if you have built the MG GM Sniper II before.
However, what sets this kit apart from both the White Dingo version and the retail version is that new sexy color scheme added with the awesome Lydo Wolf’s exclusive decals. The black and Grey color scheme works really well in making the Lydo Wolf’s GM Sniper II look sexy as hell, and as well makes the already insanely sexy (and fun to build too) MG GM Sniper II look even sexier here.
As we all look at this we really do think that P-Bandai has a winning formula here for this particular GM Sniper II
However as we looked at this sexy MG kit, it does make us think of the as well very sexy HG version of this particular MS. It’s a shame that we can’t get it now but at the very least now we finally might have a real chance to get this as the awesome MG version.
Just hope that the MG kit might still be available when we come around to make pre-order for it.
MG 1/100 RGM-79D GM Cold Districts/ Cold Climate Type (MG)

Finally, after talking a LITTLE bit about this kit last week, now we finally have the final confirmation of this kit being released as a….P-Bandai. This was sad news for us all here since it means that we will definitely be getting this kit with the hefty P-Bandai tax….and not to mention in VERY limited numbers too.
So we know that this is definitely the one that we would prioritize over all the other P-Bandai kits. Well, when we think about it maybe between this and the upcoming MG Re-GZ?…….scratch that. We might as well just get both.
Anyways, back to the kit.
As we all sat down and started analyzing the awesome P-Bandai promotional picture for the MG GM Cold Districts/ Cold Climate Type, we realized from looking at it, that the kit was exactly just like what we all kind of expecting it to be. But somehow rather P-Bandai still manages to cram more new things in here.
Yes, it still has all the things that we are expecting it to have, like the awesome head unit, the redesigned GM style backpack unit and the awesome GM Cold Districts/ Cold Climate Type color scheme.
However some of the new additions made to the already quite familiar GM Command base frame (that is used for this kit)…were quite subtle. Like for an instance the new body mold on the MG Cold Districts/ Cold Climate Type, we honestly really had to take a while to notice that they even made changes to the body unit and whats more they as well added some very subtle detail to the leg joints which made the kit look quite true to its original design.
Looking at it you can really tell that they are doing all that they can to make this one look just like its anime counterpart.
But that’s not all, the GM Cold Districts/ Cold Climate Type as well gets a few new pieces of equipment over its Retail GM Command Version. like for an instance for this variant of the GM, it gets the awesome ‘OG’ shield and aswell the badass NFHII GMG-Type 2 90mm Machine Gun w/Grenade Launcher and with on top of the awesome MG GM Command’s redesigned HWF GMG-MG79-90mm Bullpup Machine Gun.
But honestly though as we take a closer look at that NFHII GMG-Type 2 Machine Gun in MG form….we have to say that we really LOVE how the machine Gun unit looks here in MG. Since this is the very first iteration in MG for this, I would say that this is a pretty awesome debut for it. Though sadly this might be the only time we would be seeing this awesome thing in the MG form, but it’s even sadder to know that only the lucky few of us would be able to ever own this awesome thing. It’s sad to know that those that was a bit late to the party will never be able to own this…awesome MG GM variant…
Bandai should’ve really had this one up for retail….honestly.
