My, word is that an orange Destiny that we see coming for retail?

HELLO! We are back!

For this week’s 99th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be finally be doing something that has been quite long overdue…..talking about all of the quite recent-ish Retail announcements.

Yes, finally we would be talking about all of them awesome retail releases that were revealed to us all here some 2 weeks ago. Honestly, we do feel bad for only now taking the time to talk about and even though that by now most of these are pretty much old news, regardless we do have some thoughts about some of the new retail offerings that we still feel like we should put out there.

So without further ado, let us now get into it, shall we?

Finally, a badass looking Silver Bullet MS that we all can get by

Gundam Narrative movie would be the very first UC Gundam Anime that we would honestly admit that we all haven’t had the chance to watch yet. Due to some bad timing and some unforeseen circumstances, we all here weren’t lucky enough to catch the movie at the cinemas.

However, we are lucky enough to have had seen ‘some’ of the quite impressive Gunplas that is coming from the Narrative Movie and we have to say that we were really quite impressed with ‘some’ of the MS designs from the series.

and this particular one might be the one that we are most impressed with; the HGUC Silver Bullet Suppressor.

10602403b3
This might be one of the most interesting MS to have come out from the show

Using the same base as the 2014’s HGUC Silver Bullet when one takes a look at the kit on the outset, the kit basically looked more and less like the 2014’s version with some differences made here and there. Like for an instance, the suppressor comes with a new darker color scheme from the original HGUC Silver Bullet. It as well comes with a new mold for the head unit, which we all here think it looks more like they got some the Psycho Gundam, vibe stuck to it. They as well added more detail to the existing parts, we also realized that the Suppressor comes with the unicorns Beam Magnum and the suppressor as well had some more new additions and changes on the design on the Silver Bullets leg unit and the backpack unit.

Speaking of the backpack unit, man oh man what an awesome thing the Suppressor had, man. When we saw it from the promotional pictures, we were all quite curious to know what the hell that they added to the Silver Bullets back since we all here haven’t watched the show. However, when we saw the mechanism and what was actually in store in the suppressor’s backpack….we here were all mindblown by it.

Why? Well, get this, the Suppressor’s backpack was filled with SPARE ARM UNITS! YES, JUST LIKE NEO ZEONG!

10602403b4
They even have an explanation made to explain how the gimmick for this kit works….and here we thought that bar thing is a handle for an awesome beam sword thing

We really don’t have to see the show to know what is that all about and goddamn whomever that thought of that idea should get a freakking raise man. Because a backpack full of disposable arm units, THAT my dudes is something that I never knew that we needed to have until we saw that.

Now we would be really disappointed if the newer designs don’t come with this awesome feature.

10602403b6
All the arm units that I never knew that we needed.

and yes we are most definitely be getting this awesome thing for sure.

Well lookie here, its another Unicorn variant coming to our shores

We have to be honest with you guys, we all here are by now are quite sick with seeing Bandai releasing another Gundam Unicon variants. Year after year we keep seeing new Unicorn variants, we have the OG Unicorn, the Banshee and the ridiculously expensive and shiny Phenex in many grades, forms and sizes.

It was so bad that when even before the Narrative was out, we all here been rolling our eyes hard, wondering if is this another show that would give Bandai a reason to sell us another Unicorn Gundam variant?

After seeing this, we do now think that it was because in this series alone we actually get 3 versions (including this) of the same Unicorn Variant for the HGUC line up and this is if we are not including the insanely expensive P-Bandai MG version.

10602457b3
A shield with a tail attached to it….is this the only reason why this version is needed?

Anyways, what do we think about this one? Well….its basically just another Unicorn, in a unicorn mode. Wait, scratch that, its a GOLDEN Unicorn in Unicorn mode. So what makes this one different than the rest then? Well…nothing really it’s just a Gold Unicorn that comes with 2 shield tail thingy that comes with a bazooka instead of the Beam Magnum thing.

Honestly, though, we wouldn’t be that mad if by now Bandai would’ve figured out how to add the unicorn transformation mechanism to the HG line up to make us…the customer feel that getting another HGUC Unicorn variant, worth getting. But no, they instead opted to just sell us the same thing with the same gimmick with a different horn part, color, and some tail.

10602457b2
Even though we are not that interested with this, but we admit that it had some pretty sweet promotional shot here.

Definitely, the one kit that we are both not excited for or interested in getting.

A beautiful orange Destiny

When we saw this we were quite taken aback. Because it was an MS that traditionally seen its Gunpla versions being released only as a Gunpla Expo Exclusive, to now, retail release?

Did something happen in Bandai HQ which made them to finally come to their senses or is this some error of some sorts…who knows? Whatever the reasons are, we are quite glad that we are finally getting this Destiny Variant for Retail.

hmm, to be sure let us see if the pigs have started flying or not.

10602446b
Pig still can’t fly but at the very least this could you drop it down that is

AAAAAAANNNYYYWWWAAAAAYYYYSSSSS

From what we all can observe here there is nothing new that is added here that we haven’t seen with the Normal variant. It is obvious that the only thing new that was added here was really the new color scheme and that’s about it.

You might be thinking, eh the unicorn had nothing new as well, why the hate on the unicorn and not the Destiny? Well first and for most, with the destiny they didn’t try to milk it to death unlike the unicorn, which we feel that by now people are sick of seeing new variants coming out almost every year.

10602446b5
The same gimmick as the upcoming OG Destiny that we are getting soon but unlike the unicorn, this at least is something that we really want to get

We went off the rails again with the Unicorn rant, we should really get back to the discussion on the kit here.

But honestly, though, we really do think the orange scheme of the Heine Westenfluss Destiny custom looks alot better than the OG version. In fact, we think this should’ve been the standard color scheme for the Destiny Gundam from the start.

Heck, we all here think that Heine would definitely make to a better Destiny pilot then Shinn…..but then again if he does, that would definitely make that shortest Destiny debut ever.

But we’ll be damned if its not the best debut yet.

10602446b2
It definitely is interesting to watch if we really get to see Heine Piloting this

and yes we are SOOOOOO GETTING THIS ONE FO SHO.

With that ends our 99th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of this week’s Retail HG kit announcements? Is there anything from this week’s Retail news that you are really looking forward to? We are most definitely looking forward to both the Silver Bullet Suppressor and the Heine Westenfluss’s Destiny. We do think that both of them would be an awesome purchase indeed, especially the awesome Heine’s Destiny.

The Phenex though….well we probably we will take a big pass on that one.

Anyways, we will be back again with more Let’s Talk Gunpla Segment on the next coming Wednesday and this Sunday Kimi will be back with a review or an unboxing! So do look forward to that!
