Honey, I think the P-Bandai want list is growing again
HELLO! We are back again!
In this week’s 115th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be again taking a look into some of the P-Bandai release announcements that were made recently and this week it looks like we do have some of the spiciest kit release announcements this week and one that really manages to make us cry in our sleep.
So without further ado let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 RGM-79SC GM Sniper Custom (Shimoda Squad unit / Missile Launchers equipped variant)

Release Date: 2019/11
Estimated price: JPY 2,530* (MYR RM 96.14* / USD $ 23.31* / EUR € 20.90*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

This was something that we really didn’t expect to see coming. We thought with the release of the MSD’s GM Sniper Custom(Which is as well a P-Bandai HG kit release) last year we thought that there is no way that they would be releasing more MSD kit based on the GM Sniper Custom.
But as it usually the case here, P-Bandai just knows on how to prove us wrong, because this week we learned that P-Bandai still is not dome milking the HG MSD GM Sniper Custom, with them finally announcing the Missile Launchers equipped version or better knowns as the Shimoda Squad version of the HG MSD GM Sniper Custom.

We were honestly quite impressed by what we see here because frankly, it might be one of our favorites out of all the HG MSD GM variants that we’ve seen coming from the P-Bandai side. Although it is not something we think that for some of the lucky few here, is something that you are not familiar with.
Because if you are the fortunate few that have had the fortunate experience with building the previously released P-Bandai HG MSD GM Sniper Custom, you will find that from the promotional pictures that this kit still retains many of the same looks and parts from the previous release.
But even with that said, it is not to say that it doesn’t have any changes made to it. From what we can see here, there are some subtle changes made to the new version, and there are as well some very obvious one made as well. The subtle changes that were made for newer version are seen on the new color and new decal scheme for this variant of the P-Bandai’s HG MSD GM Sniper Custom.

While the obvious change that was made is seen in the addition that was made to this HG MSD GM Sniper Custom’s backpack. The backpack-mounted missile launcher. We really feel like the detail and design of the launcher really fit well with the overall look of the kit and it really manages to make an already badass kit look even more badass.
It is without a doubt that we are quite interested in this kit. All the changes made here is enough to persuade us into getting this badass kit, and when you as well consider the fact that this is released under one of the best HG line-ups. You know that you are going to as well will be getting yourself a damn good HG kit.

Too bad that we are too poor right now to afford one on the spot.
MG 1/100 MS-09H Dwadge Custom (MG)

Release Date: 2019/11
Estimated price: JPY 6,050* (MYR RM 229.89* / USD $ 55.73* / EUR € 49.98*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

This was another kit that we really didn’t expect to see being announced so soon after the Original MG Dwadge kit was released back in April this year. We really thought that they would take another year before announcing this one.
But frankly, after seeing more of it we are starting to not mind to see it being announced now since…well why don’t you just take a look at it?

Beautiful ain’t it?
When we all saw it for the first time we were all quite impressed by the how badass they managed to turn the already badass looking normal MG Dwadge into. The changes and the addition that was made to the original MG Dwadge was so extensive that when we saw it for the first time, it took us a while to figure out that this is a highly modified MG Dwadge.
The changes and addition that was made for this variant of the MG Dwadge are seen through the new mold for its shoulder vernier system, the head unit, some sections of the chest unit, and a newly designed MG Dwadge’s Beam Cannon.

Although there are alot things that was added in, the base design of the original MG Dwadge is still seen throughout the kit and again to those that are lucky enough to have built the MG Dwadge will find that there isn’t much difference in between the original MG Dwadge and this.
Which isn’t really a bad thing if I were, to be frank. Since the original MG Dwadge is a looker in itself.

Even though we have yet gotten ourselves the original MG Dwadge P-Bandai kit here for the Homebase. But we do think that with the announcement of this kit and the relisting of the original here at P-Bandai gives us hope that we might be able to own this kit yet.
So yeah, we might be getting this one too. When we have some moolahs coming in. Eventually.
MG 1/100 GN-002 Gundam Dynames (Trans-am Colors) (MG)

Release Date: 2019/11
Estimated price: JPY 4,950* (MYR RM 229.89* / USD $ 55.73* / EUR € 49.98*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

The next one on the list is something that we…kind of expecting to see being announced right after its release. But frankly, at first, we were wondering if they might not be as interested in releasing this since we didn’t see any news about this version up until…
Today.
Well, at least they didn’t wait a year for it.

Anyways, as for how it is usually the case with the ‘trans-am’ versions of the MG 00 kits, there is no major changes or additions made to the base kit. With the only big difference between the retail version, is seen in the new ‘trans-am’ paint job.
So if you are quite familiar or even to those that have some experience with the retail version, you will find that this kit is just more less the same thing.
But even with that said, it’s quite hard for us or even the fans of this series to ignore this kit. Because with this ‘trans-am’ look, we really think that the MG Dynames really has that badass look. Although we have yet gotten the new MG Dynames. But right after looking at this variant, we have to say that we are starting to get really antsy.

Because who wouldn’t want to have both the retail and the P-Bandai trans-am version posed right next to each other?
We know we want to. That is why we are marking our calendars to get both.
With that concludes this week 115th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of this week’s P-Bandai release announcements? Are you looking forward to all of these upcoming P-Bandai offerings? We are seeing alot of awesome MG and HG releases this week, and it looks like P-Bandai is in its insane roll now at the moment.
Although looking at all of this insane kits, it doesn’t seem like they are going to just stop with just these awesome kits. We have a feeling that they still have some more in store for us.
