Another unboxing of a badass MG kit?
This is one unboxing that I really have been looking forward to doing this year. Although originally the original idea for this unboxing is to have this to be a double feature where I unbox both the Ver.1.0 and the Ver.2.0 side by side to compare the two kits, but since my Ver.1.0 is still stuck in transit, I decided to just forgo that idea and just move on with just Unboxing of the Ver.2.0.
Regardless, of that setback, I’m still quite excited to unbox this since it has been quite a while that we see an old MG kit getting the Ver.2.0 treatment. So frankly we admit that it is quite exciting to see what they have to offer here.
Especially when you can see that they are really pulling all the stops here with this MG kit. Why? Well because from what I’m seeing here with the MG NT-1 Ver.2.0’s boxart, I think that they really managed to make the Gundam NT-1 here looks like a real badass here. The fact that the artist really managed to captures the whole look of the MS just like it was seen by a witness before dealing the final blow to the unfortunate sod does make it into one of the most powerful pieces that I’ve seen on an MG kit. It is as well one boxart that I can see people would stop and look at the badassery of it all.

What’s more impressive is the fact that both the MG NT-1 Ver.2.0 and the RE100 Zaku II FZ boxarts was designed to be somewhat related to each other. To put it more precisely here, looking at both the boxarts it made me think that it looks like it was the last thing Alfred sees before Bernie and Christina made their final blows towards each other.
In which turned one into a hamburger. A Bernie hamburger.
Regardless, the effort that is done here to create this art for the MG NT-1 Ver.2.0’s boxart is something that I’m really impressed by. But the art isn’t the only thing that we are impressed by, we are as well impressed by the effort done on the side section of the MG NT-1 Ver.2.0’s packaging. Really, I do find that the side section of this MG kit is a real joy to go through. With a wealth of information provided here, I really enjoyed taking my time slowly going through the side section to learn of what to expect with this particular MG Ver.2.0 kit.

After going through the packaging, I decided to go through with the actual unboxing and I was further impressed by what I see with the insides. First of all I was quite impressed with the number of runners that this MG kit has, it was quite a while since I unboxed anything new that comes with this many runners and whats more I was as well a fan of the color palette that they decided to go for this kit. Especially for those that are meant for the MG NT-1’s inner armor frame section.
However, the insane detail that I can see on some of these individual parts is the one that got me here. Because right after the release of last year’s MG Jegan, I was worried that they wouldn’t continue down this path of continuously giving us a new MG kit with insanely detailed inner frame. But after seeing the kind of effort that they are putting down here with some sections of the individual parts for the MG NT-1 Ver.2.0. We have a feeling that we would be seeing an MG kit that would be able to satisfy our cravings for a good MG inner-frame goodness.

Finally, as I move on to the last piece of this unboxing, the MG NT-1 Ver.2.0’s manual. I was actually gearing myself to see something that is more less the same here. However, as I open this manual, I was surprised to see that they completely revamped the manual for this kit. From the insanely detailed and at the same time entertaining lore section to the revamped visuals for the instruction section for the MG NT-1 Ver.2.0’s manual. In which I do admit that going through the manual really makes me get quite excited to get myself to start work on this badass kit.

However, it must be said, even though the newly revamped visuals that was used here for this manual is a joy to go through, but I still can’t really say for sure on how this manual would perform under the line of fire. So I will reserve my final judgment until I really get my hands dirty with it.
Overall though, everything here is really looking to be quite promising for me so far, and at this point of time, I really can’t imagine that this kit would be something that I wouldn’t have fun with.
I really think that I’m really getting myself into something really good here.
With that ends this week’s Unboxing and First Impressions for the MG 1/100 RX-78NT-1 Gundam NT-1 (MG) Ver.2.0. What do you think of this week’s kit that I just unboxed? Do you yourselves have the same experience as I did with this MG kit? This week marks another interesting unboxing for the MG line-up, it really has been quite a while since I unboxed an OYW kit that made me feel this excited.
After going through this unboxing, I really feel that the light is finally shining back at the MG line up again and I really hope they continue on in this awesome road.
Anyways, we will be back again with more Let’s Talk Gunpla Segment on the next coming Wednesday and Friday. While Kimi will be back on Monday with another review or an unboxing, So do look forward to that!
