The madlad is finally made real
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 122nd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we would be again taking a closer look at two surprise HG kit announcements made from P-Bandai chaps on last Wednesday.
We were really quite surprised by both of the announcements that was made, and at least for one of them here, the announcement for it was one that we as really didn’t expect to see being made into an HGUC kit.
So without further ado let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 RX-78-6 Mudrock Gundam (HGUC)

Release Date: 2019/11
Estimated price: JPY 2,200* (MYR RM 87.18* / USD $ 20.69* / EUR € 18.67*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

So we finally see the badass Mudrock seeing the light of day as a proper Gunpla release, it was really one that we feel is a long time coming as a Gunpla release. This is especially true when you consider that this was a long-time fan-favorite MS Design. Although we do admit that it kind of sucks to see the Mudrock being released as a P-Bandai instead of being released as a proper retail release.
Regardless, we are still glad to be able to see the Mudrock finally gets that HGUC debut. What’s more we do feel like this is really one HGUC kit that after taking a closer look at it, that we really feel it is one HGUC that is hard to ignore. Because….just look at it.

But the good looks alone isn’t what made all of us here excited for the kit because as we take a look at it closely, it is clear to us here that the P-Bandai HGUC Mudrock uses alot of original molding which is unseen before in any of the other previous HGUC releases.
What’s more, it is as well quite interesting to know that the kit can detach some sections of the HGUC Mudrock’s armor off. Its is a very interesting gimmick on an HGUC kit, and it is one that we admit that has been quite a while since we see last saw that kind of gimmick with the HGUC NT Gundam.

Although we do admit at we aren’t sure if the up-armored shoulder armor part is just a different part or if it is an additional addition on top of existing shoulder armors like we see with the HGUC NT. However at the very least one thing is clear, the leg verniers are detachable to enable you to make the ‘normal’ look of the HG Mudrock possible.
Even with that said there are still some familiar elements that we’ve seen from previous entries making their appearance here. Like for the instance, the shield unit and the NT Gundam inspired detachable leg verniers.

Frankly, this is really one HGUC kit that we are quite excited for and looking at how badass it is, we do as well feel that we are not alone when it comes down to feeling this way.
HG 1/144 GNX-803T GN-XIV (Mass Production Variant) (HG 00)

Release Date: 2019/11
Estimated price: JPY 2,420* (MYR RM 95.68* / USD $ 22.71* / EUR € 20.57*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Even in 2019, it is always nice to see Bandai releasing new kits under the HG 00 line up. Looking at the level of support the HG 00 lineup is still getting even after 10 years after the end of the anime. Does make us feel confident that one day that we would be able to see the Gundam Seed’s BABI’s getting that proper HG treatment.
Anyways, enough about them BABI’s let us talk about this HG GN-XIV.
Because truth to be told the kit itself doesn’t really look any different than the ones that we’ve seen previously under the P-Bandai’s Gundam Build Fighters HG line back when the Battlelouge series was airing still. So to those already familiar with that particular P-Bandai kit, we think you would be already quite familiar with this HG kit by now.

Well….maybe except for the new color scheme seen here and the badass 2 bazookas. But the rest that you see here is pretty much the same thing that was brought back for this version.
Frankly, we don’t mind it that much, since the HG GN-XIV is one badass looking kit.
So we do consider it quite a worthwhile kit to invest in since we were the some of the unfortunate sods that didn’t manage to get it back when it was released as a P-Bandai HGBD release. We as well believe that this kit would as well appeal to those that have gotten the HGBF version and it is looking for more HG GN-X action.

Because we all know that some of you here wouldn’t just settle with just having one version of the GN-XIV in your collection.
With that concludes today’s 122nd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of today’s P-Bandai’s release announcements? Are you looking forward to the two upcoming P-Bandai kit releases? All of us here really was spellbound by how badass the HG Mudrock looked.
To finally see it in gunpla form is really something that we never imagined to be able to see in this lifetime of ours.
Anyways, we will be back again with more gunpla news on this coming Friday and as well on the next coming Wednesday! Kimi will be back again in this Monday with an Unboxing of a very interesting MG kit. So do look forward to that!
