It seems like P-Bandai is not done milking the Unicorn franchise
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 124th edition of our let’s Talk Gunpla Segment, will be again taking a look at some of the new announcements that was made this week from the wonderful chaps from the loveable P-Bandai department, and again this week they seem to be gracing all of us here with some more expensive kits that we might not be able to own.
So without further ado let us get to it, shall we?
HG 1/144 MSN-06S Sinanju Stein [Unicorn MSV] (HGUC)

Estimated price: JPY 2,860* (MYR RM 112.45* / USD $ 26.82* / EUR € 24.31*)

Although we have gotten the stein as a Narrative version, never that we imagined that we would be seeing the MSV version of the stein this soon. We can’t help to have a feeling that the chaps in Bandai HQ may be feeling that they want to capitalize on the Unicorn as much as they could with releasing more ‘unicorn’ related kits.
It does make us wonder why though.
Regardless of its unexpected early arrival, frankly we aren’t that surprised to be seeing this version seeing the light of day. Just looking at how much alot of gunpla builders that we know loved the Sinanju’s design, we knew that it would be insane for them not to eventually release the plain white Sinanju for the HGUC.
We can already imagine how exciting for them to know that this is finally coming for the HGUC line up.

We think this is a good kit to get if you are not into all the other variants of the HGUC Sinanjus that has been released. Because the one good thing about this version of the HGUC Sinanju that we all liked about is the just the lack of ‘Neo-Zeon’ Garments that we usually see lined about around all the other versions of the Sinanju.
Although that is not the only thing that made it different from the Narrative version, another thing that separates this to its Narrative version is probably the quite obvious new color scheme here. Although the Narrative grey/black scheme does make the kit look badass however, one really can’t deny the original color scheme of the stein is really the one that we all here prefer to see.

We do welcome the arrival of the plain white Sinanju to the HGUC line up, even as a P-Bandai release. This is definitely is one P-Bandai HGUC kit that we would love to get, Because we really want to complete the complete cycle of HGUC Sinanju’s in our Homebase.
MG 1/100 RGZ- 91 Re-GZ (Unicorn Ver)

Release Date: 2019/12
Estimated price: JPY 5,830* (MYR RM 229.22* / USD $ 54.67* / EUR € 49.56*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

The next one on the list is a kit that we didn’t expect to see…well as another P-Bandai release at least…
This is because we kind of expecting to see the retail side to be the first to announce the slightly improved version of the MG Re-GZ kit, not P-Bandai.
FML.

Regardless of the said fact, from what we are seeing here, from the outset it doesn’t seem like there are many changes that was made to the old retail MG frame that we are seeing here. However, as we take a closer look, it is quite obvious there are some significant changes that was made to the kit.
Take the outer frame for an instance, with the original retail side, the plastic material looked really cheap-ish/ fragile. Whilst we can see the P-Bandai version’s plastic material does look to be on par with the modern materials that we are seeing with the newer MG kits. It is definitely a huge improvement over the retail side indeed.
There are as well some major improvements that was made in certain areas of the joint system for the P-Bandai version of the MG Re-GZ. The improvements made here does look to be just like what we see with the recently released P-Bandai MG Re-GZ Custom. However, with this, it looks really clear that the changes that was made to the joints are quite significant.

Not to mention too they as well made slight changes to the beam rifle, by enlarging it by a bit and as well making it longer compared to the original retail version.
However, it should be stated we aren’t sure if there are any changes that are made to the Re-GZ’s inner frames design for this version of the MG Re-GZ. Although we do have a feeling there aren’t any changes made to it, so to those that do have some experience with the retail version might find still find some sections of this kit to be quite familiar.
As we all sat here reflecting at all of these changes that we see here that was made to the P-Bandai variant, it makes us wonder if this is what we all here should be expecting to see with the new retail’s version of the MG Re-GZ? Although, we do admit that all of this is looking quite possible that this is definitely going to be what we’ll see with the final version of the by now quite possibly the upcoming retail version of this MG kit.

We are, for one will be looking forward to this one and we do hope to be one of the lucky ones to be getting this as soon as this one to be out in this coming December.
That is as long as our wallets allow us to do so, that is.
With that concludes today’s 124th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of this week’s P-Bandai’s release announcements? Are you looking forward to this batch of upcoming P-Bandai kit releases? We do admit that after seeing the P-Bandai version of the MG Re-GZ that we are left really feeling quite positive.
Because it gives us hope that we will eventually see the improved version making its way as a retail release soon enough.
Anyways, we will be back again with more gunpla news on the next coming Wednesday and as well on the next coming Friday! Kimi will be back again in this Monday with an Unboxing or a review of a kit. So do look forward to that!
