News that blasted us back into the land of the living
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 130th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be again taking a look at P-Bandai again today since they actually have released some more pretty interesting announcements. However, instead of covering all of them. We here just want to cover the only one that really matters to us all here…
So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?
MG 1/100 ZGMF=X56S/y Blast Impulse Gundam (MG)

Release Date: 2020/01
Estimated price: JPY 5,500* (MYR RM 214.03* / USD $ 51.04* / EUR € 46.76*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

This was the only news out of all the other P-Bandai new releases, that actually really matters to us all. It was one that we have been waiting to see ever since they gave us the Sword Impulse.
Today, P-Bandai finally put an end to our long and miserable wait for this, with the release announcement for this bad boy.
For MG Impulse fans like us here, seeing this finally seeing the light of day really made our day, because we have been one variant short into completing the holy SEED Destiny trinity, to finally complete the Badass Impulse Gundam Variants. We were so desperate to complete the line-up, up to a point that we don’t even mind that it would be released as a P-Bandai release.

Especially when from what we are seeing here, it does look like they are doing quite a lot to make this kit a worthwhile purchase. Because from what we can see here, even though there are no major changes made to the Impulse itself (well except some color scheme changes made to the impulse’s main body unit, the shoulder unit and a small section on the waist unit), the new Blast Silhouette backpack system that comes with this version, is where all the awesomeness of this kit really comes from.
Because when we all saw it for the first time, we do admit that it took all of us by surprise, because of the sheer detail and just by looking at the way that the Blast Silhouette unit was designed. The look fits quite well with the overall look, and even though the Design team for this seem to have been taking cues from the MG Ver.2.0 SEED series, but for once they made something that fits with the overall look of the by now quite old MG kit, and yet still manages to make it look as detailed how we all see it with the MG SEED Ver.2.0 kits.

From what we can see here as well, the Blast Silhouette as well can pull off all the expected gimmicks attached. However, we do see them adding something to the Blast Impulse, a gimmick which is not seen in any other gunpla releases which are related to this variant of the Impulse Gundam.
What did they add here you may ask? well, from what we can see here, it does seem to us like they added in the Blast Impulse Gundams’s Beam Javelin’s weapon storage compartment in one of its massive main beam cannons. Yes, this might be our first time seeing this being included in with an MG kit.

We are really quite impressed by what we see here and we are pretty much looking forward to this badass MG kit. Even though it is mostly going to be more of the same, but this is one of those kits that we really don’t mind putting that time to do, because the MG Impulse is an excellent kit, and even though we might not know how the kit would perform overall, but we know at the very least we are all going to have a blast working on the MG Impulse bit of this badass MG kit.
It is just a bit sad that we gotta see this being released as a P-Bandai release instead of a normal retail release.
With that concludes today’s 130th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of this P-Bandai release announcement? Are you looking forward to this one upcoming MG P-Bandai kit release? Because we know that all of us really do look forward to this one! Because finally, we are getting the MG Blast Impulse! It took us a while to get this, but we are really glad that we finally did manage to.
I guess seeing how people are consistently buying all of them P-Bandai HGCE Impulse Gundam variants, does finally made P-Bandai realize on how much people out there that wouldn’t mind, blowing all their hard-earned cash to complete their holy trinity of Impulses.
Because thats what all of us here, fans of the MG Impulse has been trying to do.
Anyways, we will be back again with more gunpla news on the next coming Wednesday and as well on the next coming Friday! Kimi will be back again in this Monday with an Unboxing or a review of a kit. So do look forward to that!
