A perfect start to a perfect week
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 133rd edition Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be again be looking into some of the quite recent retail side gunpla release announcements and man, again we are looking at some HUGE retail announcement. But for today we will cover 2 that we feel is the ones that we are most excited for.
So without further ado, let us get to it, shall we?
MG 1/100 FA-010A FAZZ Ver.K.A (MG)
Release Date: 2020/02
Estimated price: JPY 9,350* (MYR RM 366.23* / USD $ 87.32* / EUR € 79.76*)

When we saw this announcement, all of us here were screaming our hearts out. Why wouldn’t we be? After the MG ZZ Ver.K.A’s release 2 years back, we have been waiting for the retail side to announce this version of the ZZ.
Finally, after a long wait, we finally have the FAZZ finally seeing the light of day as a Retail MG release and it is one that we are REALLY excited to see how all the new additions to the ZZ would work in this version.
Will it be able to still transform with all the new bits installed or will it still be like the same setup but would have the extra armor attached just like how the MG NT-1 Ver.2.0’s Chobham armor were?
Since all, we have here is just a few pictures of this we can’t really say much on what to expect with this version of the MG FAZZ.
But…
From what we are seeing here, at the very least this is going to be badass-looking MG kit. From its beautiful Sentinel, color scheme to the insane details that we see on the parts of the MG FAZZ Ver.K.A. Everything about this MG kit reeks of awesomeness. Seriously, the more we look at it the more we want to be getting it here as soon as we can.
We are quite excited to see more of this kit in the near future, and we really hope that this MG FAZZ Ver.K.A kit would be as good as the MG ZZ Ver.K.A that we have the pleasure of building a while back.
PG 1/60 GAT-X105+AQM/E-YM1 Perfect Strike Gundam (PG)

For some reason, this news manages to piss some people off.
At first, we admit that we don’t really understand why, because before we actually saw the promo materials we assumed that this version is just the same ol’ PG Strike Gundam with all the attachments included as one singular release. But after going through the press releases and as well go through the comparison in between this and the earlier version… We started to understand why people are quite mad at Bandai…
Because it looks a ton better cosmetically compared to the earlier version of the PG Stike. Which when we all looked at it, we can understand why people that owned the original or to those that just got the PG Strike recently might be quite upset when seeing this.
Although as we take a much closer look, it really seems like all these new features of the PG Strike are just purely cosmetic, it doesn’t really seem to us like they did anything at all to this version of the PG Strike Gundam’s base frame. Even though we do hear some chatter online claiming that the changes to the newer PG Strike Gundam’s frame allows all the striker packs to be installed on together and separately smoothly, but since there is no proof of that to be true we can’t really comment on that as well.
I guess we will find it out one day if the upgrade is necessary or not. But we do hear rumors of the Expansion set being planned to be released by P-Bandai. So it might not be that of necessary purchase for those that have already owned the original version.
Since we don’t really know much on this, we will wait till we get the kit to really see if that is the case or not.
Even though we can’t really comment much on that, there is one thing that we can really comment on, that is by how we are quite surprised seeing this PG kit getting the retail release. Because when we saw this being showcased recently in the All Japan Model and Hobby 2019 we thought at the time that this would most definitely be getting the P-Bandai release since if one looked at P-Bandai’s track-record recently on getting interesting gunplas to be released under its banner, we are sure that this would be getting that.
So it is actually quite comforting to know that we are going to be seeing this as a normal retail release instead. Because frankly? We all here really don’t need P-Bandai tax slapped on an already insanely expensive kit.
It’s a bit too much for our wallets to bare.
