A ghost and a devil walks into P-Bandai…
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 145th edition of Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be again taking a look at some of the quite recently made release announcements…for the P-Bandai side and again this week disappointingly we are getting more HGUC release news from P-Bandai.
Although yes it is a bit of a bummer to see more HGUC news and not some new MG news. However, at the very least we do finally have confirmation on the release date for one of the previously unconfirmed HGUC Slave Wraith MS and a new HGUC Efreet kit.
So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 RGM-79 [G] GM Ground Type (w/ Parachute Pack) (Slave Wraith Custom)

Release Date: 2020/03
Estimated price: JPY 2,420* (MYR RM 92.77* / USD $ 22.30* / EUR € 20.14*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Even though it was already confirmed alongside the other Slave Wraith MS releases with P-Bandai teasing it with posing it with the other Slave Wraith HGUC kits but now we finally have confirmation that we will be seeing it sooner than expected.
Well when we say soon, it looks like this would be released a month earlier than the other two HGUC Slave Wraith kits that which was both slotted for an April 2020 release. This is quite a surprise actually because we were expecting to be seeing this released at the same time as the other two or later.
But truth to be told? We don’t mind it as much.

Well because just like the other two, the Slave Wraith version of the HGUC GM Ground Type looks really badass. From its Slave Wraith color scheme for the HGUC GM Ground Type to the badass emblem decal that this version of the Slave Wraith GM Ground Type gets. P-Bandai as well added and given it the same types of equipment that we see with the Slave Wraith Version of the HGUC Gundam Ground Type.
Oh, they as well have given it another additional backpack unit on top its standard backpack unit, albeit with the new backpack unit comes with a hardpoint which we aren’t sure what it is for. Even though from what we can gather after going through the promotional material that it was meant for ‘optional parts’ which we suspect might be coming from the Bandai builder parts. But frankly, we don’t see ourselves using the backpack with the hardpoint to customize this P-Bandai kit.

Regardless with that said, we do admit that it is still basically is the same HGUC GM Ground Type with some new added here and there, with as well a new badass color scheme. Which we actually don’t really mind spending our hard-earned cash on, especially when it looks this badass.

HG 1/144 MS-08TX Efreet (Doug Schneider Custom)(HGUC)

Release Date: 2020/03
Estimated price: JPY 2,640* (MYR RM 101.20* / USD $ 24.33* / EUR € 21.97*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Like we mentioned at the start of this segment, we are getting another P-Bandai HGUC Efreet kit. Admittedly when we first heard of the news of another HGUC Efreet making its way as a P-Bandai release, we really didn’t think much of it…. well that is up until we actually saw the bloody thing.
Because when we did, we were quite spellbound by the sheer badassery that is presented to us all here in this small HGUC form. Because again P-Bandai managed to pull it off by giving us another badass looking HGUC Efreet kit. But to most of you here, you might be wondering why are we so excited about this version when it is basically just the same thing.

Well, that would come down to two things, which is its looks that we never got tired of seeing and the types of weapons that the Doug Schneider’s version comes with. Let us start first by talking about its looks, because even though the HGUC Doug’s Efreet shares the same color scheme that we see with the Efreet schnied and for a fact that it as well had the same headpiece as what we see with the another P-Bandai Efreet kit, which was taken from the ‘normal’ variant version’s head unit. But somehow rather P-Bandai really nails the look well, so well in fact that even though this might not be the first iteration that we see of the HGUC Efreet but it still manages to catch our attention when so many others fail at doing that.
Even the HGUC Doug’s Efreets weapons, which that we do admit that it had a roaster of familiar faces taken from various HGUC releases like the HGUC Kampfer and the HGUC Gouf Custom. But be that as it may, we all here do think the list of weapons that was included here suits the efreet well.

This might be the efreet with alot of familiar things included in, but this is really one of those rare HGUC kits where everything just fits quite nicely together.
However, it is not to say that this kit doesn’t come with something new. The HGUG Doug’s Efreet comes with a uniquely designed weapon made especially for this version, a heat Bardiche that we all here think that looked pretty badass… well that is as long you paint the Heat Blade of course.
Because looking at the promotional material, it is obvious that they painted the part up to make it look..well somewhat decent. Which does make us conclude that we aren’t getting a clear colored blade part for this Heat Bardiche. Although we do suspect that this ‘Heat Bardiche’ comes with a sticker made especially for that part. However, we do strongly feel that we all would be better off painting that section up because we all here know how shit the stickers would look when applied there.

Oh, did we mention that it as well comes with a badass emblem decal? We didn’t? Well….yes the HGUC Doug’s Efreet as well comes with a badass decal…ha,ha?
After taking a long time looking at this, we are quite looking forward to this one if ever comes to our shores….well that is as long if we would still have enough to spare since this is sharing the same release month as the HGUC GM Ground Type Slave Wraith version……
