Progress report for the HGCE Heine’s Destiny kit

I never imagined that I would be back doing another WIP Report post for this, however seeing how insanely slow my progress is with the kit, I figured why not I take the time to write about what I feel about the kit…so far.

So without further ado, I will let the picture and the comments on the pictures do the talking for me.

The top half is something that I found myself quite surprised by, the reason being for that is because of the fact that the chest unit construction was broken down to a few separate segments. Which does make this HGCE Destiny to have one of the most color-accurate chest units and as well one of the most well-articulated body units in all of the Mainline HG lineups. Not to mention too that all the gates/nubs/sprues was really easy to deal with here. I do feel that it could be attributed to plastic material (polystyrene [PS] and polyethylene [PE]) that they used on this HGCE kit, which does make the gates/nubs/sprues very easy to deal with here.

The head unit, however, is something that I find to be a different story altogether. Why? Well, that is because that eventhough it does look impressive, like just like the chest unit the gates/nubs/sprues that was present on the parts are quite easy to deal with and fun to build, but it does have one of the ugliest seam lines that I have seen on any modern mainline HG kits in a long time. It was so bad that you may need to either try patch it up using either putty or with glue, which does take alot of work to really get rid of its really ugly seam line. Even with that said, I do admit that is really hard to continue to be upset with it since it does look quite good overall.

The arm unit has been something that I was as well finding myself quite impressed by, the reason being for that is mainly due to the way that the arm was designed Because unlike most HG kits which only have two segments, the HGCE Destiny does have an arm unit that was designed to have three segments. This means that we would be able to see the HGCE Destiny be able to pull off some amazing poses. However, this as well means that the arm unit is going to be structurally weaker compared to its other Mainline HG counterparts. Since I do find that the front segment does come off quite easily. But since I haven’t worked on any of the HGCE Destiny’s pieces of equipment, it is hard to say yet on how this HGCE kit would perform in real life yet. But even with that said, we do admit that when everything was put together it does look really awesome

Overall I do think that this HGCE kit is looking quite promising, and looking at how well the progress of the kit going so far, I could see myself finishing the kit by this week, So you guys can expect to see the review for this HGCE Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss custom coming out next week! 😀

Well, that is if life didn’t decide to throw me some more lemons for me to go through this week that is.

Because I am getting really excited to see what more is in store for me as soon as I started on these bad boys

Yes, I do admit that I do have some serious gunpla foot fetish.

With that ends this week Work in Progress post for the HG 1/144 ZGMF-X42S-REVOLUTION Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss Custom (HGCE). What do you think of my thoughts on the kit and how the HGCE kit looked so far? Did you experience the same things that we did? Or did you guys find out things that we didn’t? I do admit that I was having fun building this, even despite having to experience seeing that ugly seam line on the kits head unit. It is looking quite promising so far and I wouldn’t be surprised if this kit ends up becoming my favorite HG kit for this year.

Anyways, we will be back again with more Let’s Talk Gunpla segment on this coming Wednesday and Friday! Kimi as well will be back again on the next Monday with a new Unboxing or a Review blog post. So do look forward to that!
