Progress report for the MG Heavyarms
The start of the year didn’t really go so well for me, even though I ended the year strong with the Unboxing of the MG Barbatos. But afterward, I was somewhat finding myself uninspired and unmotivated to work on anything. I decided then the best way to get me out of that is just to give me some time off from building altogether. This is why eventhough I was starting work on the chest unit earlier on, it is only today you guys get to see some sort of progress update made by me.
But regardless I am quite happy to be back working on the MG Heavyarms again and for some weird reason, I do feel rewarded for it. Because I find myself quite surprised to find that even at my current progress there is so much here that I experience that manages to really impress me.
So without ado, I will let the picture and comments on the pictures do the talking in my stead. Although, admittedly this might not be as picture laden as all the other previous iteration of the WIP blog posts.
Anyways, lets us get into it, shall we?
Even if you are thinking of doing custom paintwork on you MG Heavyarms, you will find that Bandai does make life alot easier for you guys by segmenting the parts really well here and the MG Heavyarms is as well one of those rare kits that I really have trouble finding the seam lines for this one. Even more surprising is the fact that even though the MG Heavyarms has alot of separate individual parts here, the kit still manages to be quite solid overall.
But it wasn’t just a section that looks good and fun to build. It was something that I feel sets a precedence of a great many things to come. Even at this early stage, I’m really starting to have a strong feeling that towards the end of this build I will end up with a stronger positive opinion of the kit.
Or it could turn the other way around, who knows.? But regardless of that, at the very least my initial experience has been quite positive, and I am glad to start the year with working on this MG kit.
With that ends this week Work in Progress post for the MG 1/100 XXXG-01H Gundam Heavyarms (MG). What do you think of my thoughts on the kit and how the MG kit looked so far? When I restarted work on the MG Heavyarms one of the things that I really didn’t expect is on how much I would find myself enjoying the time I spend working on the MG Heavyarms chest unit.
Which is something of a nice surprise for me really, I really can’t wait to see what else I would experience here with this awesome kit.
