Work in Progress: P-Bandai MG 1/100 MS-06FS Zaku II Garma Zabi Custom (MG)

WIP P-Bandai MG MS-06FS Zaku II Garma Zabi Custom

A fun work week!

I admit, that this was the MG project that I was most excited to get started. Why? Well, mostly because it has been quite a while since I popped open and worked on a Ver.2.0 MG Zaku II Variant. I believe the MG MS-06R-1 Johnny Ridden’s Custom High Mobility Zaku II Ver.2.0 was the last one that I worked on, and that was back in 2017.

So yes, I was really excited to start work on this Ver.2.0 MG Zaku II variant coming in and was made better after I started working on it.

So before we spoil everything here, let us immediately get into my thoughts and opinions of my current progress of this P-Bandai MG kit, shall we?

When I started work on this, one of the things that I find surprises me most is the fact that how much I found myself really enjoying the build process of this, by now an MG kit that I’m quite familiar (I believe that have built almost all the Retail Ver.2.0 MG Zaku II variants out there) with. This is clearly a testament to how well this 13-year-old MG frame was designed by Bandai.

Coupled with this variant’s awesome ‘P-Bandai’ color scheme does make my overall building experience of this particular section to be quite positive.

Eventhough P-Bandai didn’t do much to change the overall design of the Zaku II’s inner frame to make way for the “FS” addition, but I do still think that it was a nice addition to the frame. Not to mention even 13 years on, much of the ‘old’ inner frame was still a joy to work and stare on.

and just like the chest unit, that we commented a few pictures back, the head unit was made better by the ‘new’ ‘P-Bandai’ color scheme on its head unit and I as well love the changes made on the Zaku FS’s head.

Overall I was coming out of this quite positively. My experience here has been great so far and I really find myself really enjoying my time with the kit. I do believe looking at how well the progress is here that I might (hopefully) be able to complete the kit by the end of the week.

With that ends this week Work in Progress post for the P-Bandai MG 1/100 MS-06FS Zaku II Garma Zabi Custom (MG) which as well will be the last update before the review. What do you think of my thoughts on the kit and how the MG kit looked so far? Did you experience the same things that I did? Or did you guys find out things that I didn’t on my run here? I am really having fun with this kit, and really looking forward to spending more time with the kit!
