Yes, we will continue to cover the rest of the retail side this Friday, but we’ll be damned if we don’t talk about these premium MG kits today.

So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

The greatest hits Unicorn finally comes as the MG Version

After seeing the release and how well-received of the HG version of the Unicorn Perfectibility was, we knew damn well that we will eventually see Gundam Base release the MG version. True enough a year after the HG version’s release, Gundam Base finally announced the MG version of the Perfectability Unicorn Gundam.

Quite frankly when we saw this for the MG Perfectability Unicorn’s promotional materials for the first time we were quite impressed by how good the MG version of the Unicorn Perfectibility looked here. Although all the parts here were obviously a mish-mash of different parts from different variants of the MG Unicorn combined together, one cannot deny how good all of these parts looked together into one singular Unicorn.

When you combine all the awesome things of the other Unicorn kit into one kit

Not to mention that we are as well a huge fan of how awesome the blue clear psycho-frame part as well looked on the MG Unicorn Perfectability. Looking at it one does wonder why isn’t this version introduced towards the end of Unicorn instead?

However, there is one bit here that we are not a big fan of when we saw it attached to the MG Perfectability Gundam’s name, the insane asking price.

For something that doesn’t look to have anything improved (it just has alot more parts added to the kit) on the kit, the asking price that they posted for this kit…is something that we think is a bit much. we can understand that if they were to price this at JPY 8,000 to 10,000 but selling it at a PG asking price is to us here, a bit excessive.

A good looking MG Unicorn that comes attached with a PG price tag

This is not considering the fact that it is not cheap to be able to get one’s ass to Japan to just purely for this particular version of the MG Unicorn.

We do really think the asking price for this is not really worth it. You really would be better off buying a PG kit than this.

That is of course unless if you are a big fan of the Unicorn Gundam design. If you are by all means do, because eventhough we rag about the asking price, we do admit it is a good addition to those that are HUGE Unicorn fans.

Because ultimately this is an MG kit that is made for fans

This is a very good looking MG Jegan

This is an interesting one because we all here are of how the earlier version of the P-Bandai MG Jegan Type D looked, however, we are a bit disappointed when we saw this and see that there isn’t anything new that was added in (Besides the awesome color scheme) that would entice us to get it.

But even with that said……admittedly, the kit does look quite good to us still.

Because if you are not a fan of the original color scheme of the previously released P-Bandai MG Jegan Type D, well you can consider getting this version because instead of the light green color scheme, you get this; The badass red/white color scheme of the MG Jegan Type D Initial Deployment Type. We here do think that this color scheme here looks really good on the MG Jegan Type D and looking at it we can’t help ourselves to be reminded of the Karaba Zeta Plus A1’s color scheme.

This is really a badass color scheme, especially when they applied them on a badass MS like the Jegan

But looking at this, we can’t help to wonder if we would eventually see the Stark Jegan getting that MG treatment. Because out of all the Jegan Variants that we here are most looking forward to, the Stark Jegan variant might be the one that here is most looking forward to seeing being released.

Hopefully, we would see that happen soon enough.

Hopefully, we would be able to see more awesome kits coming from both the P-Bandai side and the Gundam Base side

With that concludes today’s 170th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of these awesome P-Bandai and Gundam Base release announcements? Are you looking forward to all of these awesome upcoming P-Bandai and Gundam base kits? Despite what we feel about all of these MG announcements from both sides, admittedly we do find these to be quite interesting overall, not to mention they are as well quite good looking kits.

But somehow we kind of expecting more from P-Bandai, especially after the set the bar really high with all the awesome releases last year. But admittedly the year is still quite young, and we might see them announcing something really interesting soon enough.

All we really need to do now is wait.
