Let’s talk about things that we here can never afford.

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 172nd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at some of the recent P-Bandai Gundam Mecha figure release announcements. Since we finally get to that part of the month where there is no gunpla news, it is a good opportunity for us to take a step back and take a look at some of the other more interesting Gundam merch related news that was made by P-Bandai.

Since there are alot of Gundam Mecha Figure announcements that was made this week, we will only cover 2 of the ones that we all here find to be interesting and if things continue to be quiet in the gunpla front, we will cover the rest of them on the Friday ‘s segment.

So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

The thicc boi GM finally makes its appearance as a Robot Spirits appearance

If the retail side sees the announcement of the Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> GM Custom recently, the P-Bandai side gets the Powered GM to be under their premium Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> release.

We here do find the announcement for this release to be quite fitting too since the Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> GM Type C was released earlier this year. Quite frankly we was starting to wonder if they would have plans to release the GM Powered version any time soon. So yeah it is nice to see this finally being announced.

We admit that this is a pretty awesome pose

However, it just a bit disappointing to see this is released under the premium tag instead of the retail tag, so do expect this to be expensive and rare Robot Spirits <SIDE MSS> Mecha Figure to get.

Regardless, after we take a long look at the Robot Spirits Mecha Figure, we do admit that the Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> version of the Powered GM does look really good. It still retains some of the elements of the Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> Type C’s design. But the best bits here are the newly designed GM Powered parts. They all looked hella fantastic and there isn’t a single part there that we are not a fan of.

Although, we do admit that it does look a look alot slimmer when compared to its HGUC counterpart. Oh not to mention too, it as well looked alot taller too. I am not sure if this really the case, that we have to wait till we have the Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> Mecha Figure here to compare with the HGUC kit.

is it just us or the Powered GM looks a bit thin here

It as well gets the same type of accessories that you get with the recently released Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> GM Type C. So don’t expect to get any new accessories with this.

All in all this version of the Powered GM from the Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> line up does look quite impressive and we can’t imagine this to be something that a fan of the Stardust Memories anime would ignore. It’s just that getting this might be a bit of a challenge since this is not going to be a Mecha Figure that is going to be cheap or easy to get.

The best looking Exia Variant yet

Another awesome Mecha figure that was announced recently that we here find to be quite interesting is this; the Metal Build Gundam Exia Repair IV.

This is probably one of the only Exia variants that we here are most looking forward to seeing being made. Even though we here are not particularly thrilled with the fact that the Exia Repair IV is getting the ‘premium treatment’ here, but we are still quite glad to finally see the Exia Repair IV getting made into something at least (In which we are as well sure that all the plamo pirates are getting excited to the idea of making a ‘cheap’ expensive copy of this).

Even though we owned none of the Metal Build Mecha Figure (or its pirated ‘cheap’ expensive copies) due to very obvious reasons (we are quite poor ya know and we are not into pirated kits), it is not to say that we don’t understand the appeal of this amazingly beautiful and yet overly designed Mecha Figure line up. We do, in fact we would even say that this was really one of those Mecha Figures series out there that is able to attract even the normies into liking it.

We wouldn’t be surprised if we would see the pirated version of this comes out a few months after its release

But not the Metal Build Exia series because so far out of all the Metal Build releases the Exia line up is the only one out of all that we’ve seen coming to this line up that managed to keep the overall design to look simple-ish but yet still manages to look badass.

and the same is true with the Exia Repair IV. The designers still manages to keep the look of this Exia Variant as simple as possible. But yet still manages to make the look of the Exia Repair IV to be one of the best looking Exia variants that we have seen released by Bandai (or P-Bandai) to date.

We are as well quite impressed by the level of gimmicks that is present here with this Mecha Figure, and not to mention the level of articulation that this kit is able to pose itself in. Admittedly, since we have yet to experience posing a metal mecha figure before, we can’t imagine how good the joints is. But admittedly it is hard to imagine this Mecha Figure to have flimsy joints.

This is by far my favorite Exia pose

But then again we can’t really confirm this up until we have it here. Maybe by then, we can see how good the joints for this Mecha Figure is.

Regardless, we just hope that if this does well enough, that it would be enough to push Bandai to do something more with the 00 IP, so we could (hopefully) see more awesome things coming from the 00 series in the future.

Maybe a better 2nd movie perhaps?

or more Badass Exia action

With that concludes today’s 172nd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of all of these awesome P-Bandai Mecha Figure release announcements? Are you looking forward to these P-Bandai Mecha Figure releases? We think that this week we do have some really interesting round of announcements for the P-Bandai’s Mecha Figures side. We do like seeing how awesome the design of both Mecha Figures that we talked about was. It’s just that the only thing that we are saddened by after seeing these Mecha Figures is the fact that we might not be able to get it for ourselves.

We only have money to spend on Gunplas not on these awesome Mecha Figures. Maybe someday, but for now we shall be content by just talking about them.
