Familiar but loveable
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 175th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will now finally be taking a look at some of the other new P-Bandai releases that was made last Wednesday that we here purposely push to today’s segment. However, unlike the awesome Advance of Z kits, these are kits based on existing retail kits without major changes added or done to its base design.
With that said, they are still kits that we here find to be quite interesting to talk about, because…well wait till you see them then you’ll understand why.
So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 AMX-104 R-Jarja Danton Hyleg Custom (Twilight AXIS Ver.) (HGUC)
Release Date: 2020/07

Ever since the release of the HGUC R-Jarja last year we here have been waiting intently for P-Bandai to make an official announcement of the release and creation of the Twilight AXIS version of this HGUC kit.
Now we wonder no more because now we finally have official news from the P-Bandai side of the release of the Twilight AXIS version of the awesome R-Jarja and after seeing we can say that it looked glorious, absolutely glorious.
However, as we mentioned earlier in the opening to this segment, it doesn’t seem like this kit has anything new added to it besides the new color scheme that we see here. It’s quite a shame because we’re hoping to see what unseen additions that was made to this variant of the R-Jarja to make it stand out from the ‘normal’ version of the R-Jarja. But it seems like P-Bandai just playing it safe here and just decided into just giving this variant all the same things that the normal release gets.
But we are not that bothered by that at all here, for one good reason. One of the reasons being is because we all here are a HUGE fan of HGUC R-Jarja’s design and quite frankly we here really don’t mind working on another. The other reason for why we don’t really mind getting this, well its because the changes that was made do make the kit look really good.
Funnily enough, there is another thing that we realized hereafter giving ourselves some more thought on this P-Bandai variant of the HGUC R-Jarja, that the color scheme looked somewhat familiar. That the color scheme that was used here is the same color scheme that is used on the Qubeley. Quite frankly we never thought that the Qubeley color scheme would look really good on an R-Jarja, which does make us wonder if this MS is in any way supposed to be originally piloted by Haman?
Regardless, this is one P-Bandai HGUC that we here do find it to be quite interesting, and we are as well think it is a worthwhile investment. A worthwhile investment to only those which are huge fans of both the retail kit (like us) and the….anime.
If you are not, we still recommend getting the retail version of course.
RG 1/144 MSN-06S Sinanju [Special Coating Ver.]
Release Date: 2020/07

This was one of those kits that we all here do find it quite hard to take our gaze away from staring at it for too long. Why? Well mostly because this is one of those kits that we all here find to be quite attractive.
Then again that is the same thing that we have been saying about all these ‘Special’ Coated RG kits. haha.
So besides the ‘new special coating’ that this RG Sinanju variant gets, what else can we expect to see with this RG kit? Well if we were, to be honest? Nothing much really, because just like the Twilight AXIS version of the HGUC R-Jarja that we just talked about the changes that we see here are mostly just cosmetic.
Yes, this is basically just the same old RG Sinanju with just a new paint job (albeit a very pretty one of course) slapped on it. So don’t expect to find anything extra that would come with this kit.
Even with that said, we do admit that we here were still quite interested in getting it, purely due to the looks. But after we take a long hard look at this ‘special coated’ RG Sinanju’s asking price and remembering the pain that one might get from working on these coated kits’ nubs, all excitement we have into the idea of getting this kit was kind of killed.
But unless if you are a HUGE fan of the RG Sinanju which as well has alot of money laying around and as well has the confidence needed to work on this heartbreaker, then, by all means, get it. But if you are like us, well you can skip this one up, unless you find someone selling it for cheap.

After the announcements of last weeks awesome HGUC Advance of Z kits, this weeks announcements might not be the strongest that we have seen coming from the P-Bandai side.
But we do admit that all the kit that we talked about here do manage to earn as much of our adoration of them as to how we all feel with the last week’s P-Bandai’s AoZ announcement. All in all things are looking up or the P-Bandai side, we are looking forward to more awesome Gunpla news coming to the premium side and hopefully, we would hear news on another MG AoZ kit soon enough.
