This is some really good armor pieces that we are seeing here
HELLO! We are back!
In Today’s 177th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will continue to take a look at where we left off with the retail releases and take time to discuss here on what we like and don’t like about the new retail HGBD: R Gunpla supporting parts releases.
So without further ado let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 Unknown Hero Gundam Armor set (HGBD: R)
Release Date: 2020/07

Even though the Gundam Build Divers: ReRise Season 2 anime itself hasn’t started airing, the funny thing is that we have been seeing alot of the gunplas being announced for the retail side without us ever seeing an episode of it on the screen. Admittedly, We do think that the more we look at some of the announced kits, the more excitement is building up for the upcoming anime. Especially considering, the Mecha designs for this season is looking pretty dope so far.
Speaking of good looking designs, we here strongly believe that this might be one of the best Core Gundam II armor pieces that we have seen to date. Because from what we are seeing here it looks as if there were alot of thought being given in the design of this particular armor piece. Which is weirdly can be seen on the simplistic design of this particular armor piece. Because even though it does look simple but yet it still retains the same complexity as what we’ve seen with the HGBD: R’s Unraven Gundam by better integrating “clear’ parts into the armor pieces.
Well, we hope that we are seeing here are clear parts that was used there. Although knowing Bandai, that there is a big possibility that those neon, orange parts that we see on the armor piece might end up being just sticker pieces that come with the armor part, which sucks of course.
But even though that said, admittedly even if it is reduced to that, it is nice to see the designers adding in more interesting features to Core Gundam II’s armor pieces.
However, this armor piece isn’t the only awesome thing here.
HG 1/144 Unknown Hero’s New Weapon Set (HGBD: R)

Because the weapon set that was created in conjunction with that new Core Gundam II armor set is as well looked really badass. From what we are seeing here it does seem to us that the same care and attention was given to the weapons design for this particular armor piece. Although, admittedly when we all here saw all the parts combined together, somehow we here feel like this armor and weapon set for the Core Gundam II designed to make it look like a tribute to the Stargazer Gundam’s design.
Which we admit if it is, its a damn good tribute.
The more time we spend looking at it, the more we here we all here find ourselves impressed by it. Especially after seeing the weapon set mounted together on the armor piece. We honestly can’t wait to see this particular weapon set in action when we do get it here and as well yes we are looking forward to seeing the capabilities of this particular armor set and weapon in action.
It’s just that it might be tough for those which are late adopters to series to get because if Bandai are planning to sell them separately like this it might be tough to get one or the other. However, we still have a strong feeling that we would see a proper full release of the armor pieces and their respective Core Gundam together in one full release. Knowing Bandai, we wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to just bundle them up instead of marketing them like how they market the awesome 30mm kits.
Regardless, we are quite excited to get this in this coming july and watch the anime when it releases next month so we can finally see what this new upgrade for the Core Gundam II does.

Looking at the new parts that was announced we admittedly are getting quite excited for the eventual release of the second season of the Gundam Build Divers: ReRise anime. The gunplas that we’ve seen coming from the anime looked really badass and not to mention, we can see that they are really going all out in designing badass looking kits for this anime.
Which does make us quite curious to see how this 2nd would fare compared to the 1st?
