Work in Progress III: MG 1/100 ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos (MG)

Am sick but at least I didn’t get the coronavirus

Falling sick sucks, because it took my time away from work, especially when I’m working on a fun MG kit like this. But knowing how weak my body is nowadays, I know I shouldn’t be pushing it too hard since it is clear that my body isn’t taking instructions as it used to when I first started doing this blog.

This is why you guys have been seeing really slow progress from yours truly because I keep finding myself in this kind of situation nowadays. That is one of the reasons that I started to take a bit more time on a kit when there is alot of unpredictability present when it comes down to my health.

But regardless, I know you guys are here not to hear me talk about how my health is going, You are here to read my up to date thoughts and progress of this MG kit so far. So yes today I will be doing another work in progress post on the MG 1/100 ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos.

We will start by talking about this, yes I know we kind of talked about this in the last weeks segment, but I do think that it is quite important that I cover again. Why, well because in many of my years building MG kits, it has been quite a while since I’ve seen a feet unit that looked this detailed. When I think about it, I do realize that there isn’t alot of modern MG kits that are on the market out there that go this far when it comes down to the detail.
MG Barbie's leg inner frame
Which is why I was quite surprised to see the MG Barbie leg inner frame’s very simple looks, I really thought seeing how awesome the rest of the kit looked, that the leg unit would actually go all out in the looks department. But it seems like they aren’t with the MG Barbie’s legs inner-frame. Even with that said, Bandai does make it up by making the building process of this leg unit to be quite complicated.
When I got to the bit where I need to install the leg unit’s armor, the process was alot more straight forward there.  Although there were some bits here and there which is a bit tough for me to manage, but yet I still find myself to manage it somehow.

Overall it was segment of the build is definitely something that I was pleasantly surprised with. Though it might not have the same complexity in terms of looks for its inner frame, however, at the very least they made it up by making it be one of the most complex and fun bits to put together for this MG kit.

I really hope that my body would retain back some of its lost health so I could return to again start working on this awesome MG kit as soon as I could.

With that ends this week’s third Work in Progress post for the MG 1/100 ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos (MG). What do you think of my thoughts on the kit and how the MG kit looked so far? Did you experience the same things that I did? Or did you guys find out things that I didn’t on my run here? Finally, it really looks like I’m at my final stretch here, hopefully, I would be able to recover fast enough so I could get myself back to building and finishing this awesome MG kit.

and yes finishing the review as well.
