Heine, you are in the wrong MS.

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 183rd edition Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at one recently announced P-Bandai gunpla announcement that was made today. However, we here do admit that this ‘new announcement’ isn’t something that we here not familiar with since we have covered about it back in the 152nd edition of the let’s talk Gunpla segment.

But unlike the time we covered it for the first time, now it seems like we have more promotional materials that we could add to the post. Haha.

So without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

A country locked kit that is now unlocked

This is one P-Bandai PG kit that when we saw it being listed on the P-Bandai JP site that it took us quite a while for us to process. Why? Well, considering that this was listed right after its  March China release date, we kind of wondered why now? Looking at P-Bandai ‘new kit’ release patterns we kind of expected P-Bandai to make that announcement maybe somewhere in the middle of the year, giving the Chinese side some time to gloat to the rest of the world before releasing it to the world.

Yes even though we here are expecting it but we really didn’t expect it to be announced this soon. We do wonder if the current situation the world is facing right now kind of forces P-Bandai’s hand onto releasing the kit earlier? Hmm, it makes us wonder indeed.

But even with that said, we do admit that we are quite happy to see P-Bandai finally gave this kit a much earlier wider release, even if it is as a P-Bandai release. At least now fans of this version would have a real shot into getting this one without having to specifically travel all the way to China to get it. That is as long your localized online P-Bandai stores or your local hobby store carries this.

This is a pose that we here do find to be quite impressive. Because that looks pretty darn heavy

Another good thing that we here like is that we get to see more of this kit, all thanks to its promotional materials. So now since we have a much better look at the PG 00 Seven Sword G Inspection promotional materials, what do we now think of the kit? Well, quite frankly our opinions on it haven’t really changed much since it is basically is just a recolored version of the retail PG Seven Sword kit. You can read on our thoughts of the kit here if you want to know more about what we think about it.

But to summarise our thoughts here for you guys, regardless of its similarities, we here do think that this PG kit is the better-looking version of the two PG 00 Seven Sword variants. Although, since the PG 00 Seven Sword G Inspection is released under the P-Bandai tag, that as well meant that this is the more expensive version of the PG 00 Seven Sword. Which does mean that unless if you are a HUGE fan of the 00 Seven Sword design or a collector of the PG 00 series of sorts, this is one kit that is going to hard for normal Gunpla builders to just justify getting, especially considering you can get the same thing (the retail version) plus with some paints, for alot cheaper.

The same 00 Seven Sword, but with Heine’s color applied to it

But even with that said, funnily enough, there is something slightly different here when it comes down to the two countries P-Bandai releases and it wasn’t because P-Bandai JP decided to add anything new to the kit.

Well, this might not come as a surprise to some of you here but the only thing that sets these two releases apart is really on its asking price. Because while the Chinese release saw the PG 00 Seven Sword G Inspection sold at the estimation of RM 953 (after conversion), while the P-Bandai JP version, is selling the same unchanged kit for RM 1015 (after conversion), which is RM 62 more to the Chinese version.

Yes, although the difference might be not much to some, but to poor people like us, we do wonder why the difference in prices between the two? When it is basically the same kit?

This is a really awkward pose, which does make us wonder why they decided to include it?

But admittedly this means little of any significant value to us here. Because even though we are a fan of this P-Bandai PG 00 Seven Sword G Inspection colors, we know for a fact that we will never be able to afford this monster of a kit. Even its retail variant we are still struggling to save up to get, to think that we would consider getting this P-Bandai version is laughable at best.

But then again we will never know where life would take us. Especially when one looks at the current situation we are in now. Because if you were to tell us a month ago that we would be stuck in our homes for more then 3 weeks we wouldn’t have believed you, but look at us now.

So yeah, there might still be a possibility that we might still be able to own this. One day…

You know a weapon is heavy when you need a stand to hold so you can pose with it.

With that concludes today’s 183rd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of this P-Bandai’s Gunpla release announcement? Are you looking forward to this P-Bandai’s Gunpla release? Strangely enough, we here are quite impressed by P-Bandai’s commitment to releasing new content to the masses even during these dark times. While some other companies shy away from announcing new products or releasing them, it is quite refreshing to see P-Bandai still doing its P-Bandai stuff.

Hopefully, this is something that we would see continue for both the retail and the P-Bandai side. Because it is always nice to have something to look forward to.
