Work in Progress III: RG 1/144 Gunpla EXPO ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss Custom (RG)

Heine's head

Sorry, folks, there is no new Gunpla or Gundam related merch announcement this week

Admittedly this is a bit weird for me Because usually, I would have a new let’s talk Gunpla post out today. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic that we are facing at the moment, we are seeing less Gunpla or Gundam related news released to the public recently. So instead of just not releasing anything, I decided to do a different post instead of today.

Although, I do admit that I was kind of finding myself a bit in a pickle since I was working on two different segments to be release for today, although after taking the time to go through the two segments, I finally decided to just have this posted instead of the other, for today.

Another update on my current build, the RG Gunpla Expo Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss custom.

So without further ado, let us now go into my thoughts on the current progress of this kit, shall we?

A Hiene almost completed
Surprisingly the one section of this RG kit that managed to take alot of my time here is building the RG Heine Destiny’s arm units. Although you may find that my reasons aren’t due to me being unfamiliar with the kit because as you may already know by now, this isn’t my first RG Destiny kit. The actual reason why it took me so long to complete this is was because I was working on the arm unit while at the same time applying the decals onto the arm unit as I go. So yeah it took me quite a while to get everything right there But even with that said, I’m quite happy with the end result, although admittedly, the white decals are a bit hard to see on that orange surface. But still, am super proud to see how good it all looked here.

The one thing that I always look forward to spending time on when I decided to work on another RG Destiny kit is the head unit, Honestly, I have always found myself enjoying the time spent building it, and panel lining it. Why? Well when the head unit looked this good, I can’t imagine anyone not feeling the same thing.

As you can already tell from my progress here, I’m really getting quite close to completing this RG kit, and admittedly I do find the work that I’m putting down on this RG Gunpla EXPO variant of the Destiny Gundam is looking better than the last time I worked on an RG Destiny kit.

Although admittedly I’m starting to slowly not liking the thought of finishing this kit as quickly as I did right now because I don’t think I’m emotionally prepared to get to the finish line with this kit.

Especially when I find myself working on something that I have a ton of fun working on and especially something that looked this good. But I know there will be awesome kits coming my way, so it might not be as bad when I do get to the finish line.

With that ends this week’s third Work in Progress post for the RG 1/144 Gunpla Expo ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss Custom (RG). What do you think of my thoughts on the kit and how the RG kit looked so far? Did you experience the same things that I did? Or did you guys find out things that I didn’t on my run here? Seeing how much we are affected by the recent pandemic situation that we are in, we here are considering making our weekly postings to be a bit more flexible, which means that for the time being, we might have to ditch the fixed posting schedule that we had before. So don’t be surprised if you may not see a new Let’s Talk Gunpla post or a review post on the day that it was usually supposed to be released.

We are as well will be changing the posting schedules, instead of the tried and failed Monday, Wednesday and Friday postings, we will be instead posting new posts on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday which is more in line with what we are doing currently. We do think that this is the last time that we would be moving the schedule around, since we are quite comfortable with the way things are right now, haha.

Anyways, we will be back again with more new gunpla related posts this coming Tuesday Thursday and Saturday! So do look forward to that!
