The penultimate display base for Z Gundam fans

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 194th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at one very particular P-Bandai announcement that, we kind of missed. One that did make round during its initial release announcement, but unfortunately it was one that we haven’t really managed to take the time to talk about it.

Which is why we are dedicating it in today’s segment to just talk about this one release.

So without further ado, let us now get into it, shall we?

When a short catapult doesn’t cut for you, you can as well have a proper long one as well

We know that this is one very old news by now, but…Fans of the Z gundam series rejoice!

Because finally, fans of this series would get the ultimate display base that you guys have been dreaming about for a long time. A display base that you could use to display (almost) all of your 1/144 scaled HGUC or RG (this you can definitely display all of them) Z Gundam kits.

Although to say that is impressive is a bit of an understatement here because quite frankly we do think that this is probably one of the most insane things that we’ve seen coming from the P-Bandai side.

The scale and the looks of this display base are just insane and looking back to the time that we here thought the White base catapult display base was insane, but this takes the insanity cake to a whole other level.

Why?

Well, for one this thing is HUGE.

For something that was meant to be used for the HGUC line up, we can’t imagine this being a small thing

Because from what we can see here Megahouse managed to recreate the ramp, parts of the hangar bay, and some bits of the Aragama as well. The most impressive part of this is that they specifically made this for the 1/144 scaled gunplas.

Although the more we take the time to stare at this, the more we here can imagine someone staring at this intently and as well already started drawing a plan to use this as a base to create a scratch build the Aragama fully in 1/144 scale. We wouldn’t be surprised if that ever happens.

Regardless, even if you don’t plan to, it’s alright. Because just having that one side of the catapult deck is enough for you to use it as a base to display your A.E.U.G Z Gundam based kits that you have in your collection. Heck if you think that you have no available table or cupboards to display this massive thing, worry not, my dear friends because Megahouse as well made the Aragama catapult deck comes with wall mounts so you can have’em displayed on your wall.

wall catapult
Yes you can hang this on your wall if you want to

Funnily enough, there is one thing about this kit that we didn’t find it to be as insane, and that would be the Megahouse Aragama catapult deck’s price tag. Why?

Well because for something this huge, we kind of expected it to be sold at that price tag, even with the P-Bandai tax considered, we still think that this insane thing will still be priced reasonably.

Because it made sense to us that for something this insanely huge and impressive, to be priced at that insane price as well.

This might be one of the most insane things one could get for their Gunpla collection

With that concludes today’s 194th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! What do you think of all of these P-Bandai Gunpla release announcements? Are you looking forward to all of these P-Bandai Gunpla releases? We are aware that P-Bandai just made an announcement earlier of a new MG kit for the GBWC line up, but we here really feel like giving this particular release some more love before we move on to have a long discussion on that new P-Bandai release.

Which will most definitely be written about in this coming Saturday Let’s Talk Gunpla segment! So do look forward to that!
