I am having alot of fun with this old and awesome kit.
After taking a long week off from building, I was more than happy to be back working on this, the No Grade Vayeate. It was an NG kit that it has been quite a while since I picked up and built one, and admittedly I was a bit worried that I might end up being disappointed or let down by the kits old age.
However, I instead ended up becoming quite impressed by what I experianced here and kind of understood why I liked building this kit in the first place.
Let me explain using the progress pictures that I’ve taken during my time with the kit.
This might not be my first rodeo with the No-Grade Vayeate kit, but I would admit that coming in, eventhough I was really excited to start work on this NG Vayeate kit, but I didn’t have high hopes that I would have alot of fun building this kit. Why wouldn’t I be? It’s an old kit, I wasn’t supposed to be expecting this kit to be blowing my mind. But when I started on this particular bit, I found myself quite impressed by what I experianced here with this, cheap and simple NG kit. Yes, it does have some problems, but I was having too much fun building it to be concerned about it
Even when I was working on the NG Vayeate’s arms unit, I continue to find myself to be quite immensely impressed by how much fun I had working on it. I love the sheer simplicity of it all, not to mention too they still managed to make something that looked this simple looked good. Which is still something that I find to be quite an impressive feat. But best of all they managed to make every bit that worked on so far to be quite an enjoyable experience for me. One that made me remember that same feeling that I had when I worked on it for the first time.
Even though I’m still at the very early stages of the build, I do feel quite positive about the prospects for this kit. I have been having alot of fun building this old No-Grade kit, and even despite all its issues, I admit that I found myself not minding it as much here with this kit.
I’m looking forward to continuing the work I’m doing on the kit. I have a feeling that towards the end of it, I will have a huge stupid smile on my face for sure.
With that ends this week’s Work in Progress post for the NG 1/144 OZ-13MSX1 Vayeate (WF-07 Gundam-W Figure Version)(No-Grade). What do you think of my thoughts on the kit and how this NG kit thus far? To those that had built the NG Vayeate before, did you experience the same thing? Or did you guys find out things that I didn’t on my run here? It would be really interesting to hear your thoughts on this. Personally, even though I’m still at the earlier stages, I’m quite happy with what experianced here so far.The kit has been quite fun so far for me here and I’m looking forward to whatever comes next!
