Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.214

Cheaper and better

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 214th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking the time today to write about one very fascinating P-Bandai Mecha Figure release announcement. One that we do as well find to be quite exciting one at that.

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

Robot Spirits <SIDE MS> MS-05B Zaku I Ver.A.N.I.M.E ~Black Tri Stars~

Release Date: December 2020
Estimated price: JPY 6,050 (MYR RM 239.86* / USD $ 56.44* / EUR € 48.74*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation

Admittedly, after going through the previous P-Bandai Gundarium Alloy Model release, we aren’t all too keen to cover another P-Bandai news.

However, after seeing this particular listing on the P-Bandai JP page does help to bring a smile on our face. Because quite frankly, it has been quite a while since the Zaku I was listed anywhere.

So yes, it was nice to see Grandpa Zaku again.

But even with that said, we admit that this is a very good looking re-color of the grandpa Zaku. Instead of using the ‘standard’ MSG Black Tri-Stars colors, they instead went with the MSG Origins color scheme one for this. Which means they went with the Black/ Dark Blue color scheme, instead of the Black/white/purple color scheme.

Honestly? We are glad that they decided to go with this instead of the standard Black Tri-Stars color scheme because we here feel like that the Black/Dark Blue color scheme works better in making the Grandpa Zaku look badass.

The badass color scheme of the Robot Spirits Black Tri-Stars Zaku I isn’t the only thing that we here think made the kit looked badass, there is as well the awesome decals. Both the design and placement of the Robot Spirits Black Tri-Stars Zaku I’s decals managed to make the P-Bandai version stand out from its Retail version.

What makes this even more impressive is the fact that they did all of this without ever adding or making any changes to the base design. Which is a feat not many re-colored Mecha figures out there could do.

This Robot Spirits Black Tri-Star Zaku I Mecha Figure is the kind of P-Bandai release that we here wouldn’t mind getting, especially considering it is alot cheaper than the Gundarium Alloy model that we saw recently.

At least with this kit, we know that it wouldn’t end up becoming an expensive brick.

That concludes the 214th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today! Before we close it would quite interesting to hear about your thoughts on this particular P-Bandai release announcement. Are you as well look forward to this particular P-Bandai release? Eventhough we haven’t fully recovered from the Gundarium Alloy Model announcement, but we do think that we are recovering back some of the joy that we had before after going through the release of this particular P-BandaiMecha Figure.

Hopefully, we would be getting good news only from now onwards.

Anyways, we will be back again with some more new gunpla related posts on the next coming Tuesday! So do look forward to that!
