Now, all it needs is a set of gigantic hands.
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 224th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at one of the latest P-Bandai MG announcements, and it looks like we are FINALLY be getting a new AoZ MG kit.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?
MG 1/100 RX-121-2 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Owsla](MG)
MG 1/100 RX-121-2 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Owsla] (MG)
Release Date: December 2020
Estimated price: JPY 8,800 (MYR RM 347.66* / USD $ 83.46* / EUR € 70.17*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation
This is both sexy and expensive all at the same time
Yes, we finally get to have the official Hazel Owsla in MG form.
Yes, we are aware that you can always convert your existing MG TR-1’s into this as long you purchase the MG Primrose upgrade that was released some time ago. But we kind of wanted to display both the ‘normal’ TR-1 variant and this, so it made more sense for us to get this version instead.
That is one of the reasons why we are looking forward to getting this.
Not to mention, it is less work for us to do, considering you don’t have to go on a P-Bandai treasure hunt to compile all the different MG parts to create the MG Hazel Owsla. Since with this version, you get everything in one release.
Seriously, it is nice to have EVERYTHING packaged in one release, instead of having to hunt for them one by one
But even with that said, we here do not expect this kit to be any different from the previously released MG TR-1 and the MG Primrose. Because it is quite clear to us that P-Bandai reused many of the MG TR-1 and the MG Primrose parts here and there to recreate this version.
Usually, things like this would turn us off. However, we don’t feel the same way with this P-Bandai MG release, we all here somehow find ourselves not minding it as much. Why? Well, it could be that we have been looking forward to getting this standalone version of the Hazel for quite some time. Or it could as well be that we’re huge fans of this line-up, maybe that may explain why we don’t mind getting this version of the MG Hazel.
Honestly? Why would one not want to have this version?
But admittedly, we are quite sad to see this not making its way to the retail side, and quite honestly, we as well feel like its still a HUGE missed opportunity for Bandai for not making one of the fan-favorite AoZ kits as a retail MG release.
Seriously this would’ve been a good introduction to normies to the awesomeness of the MG AoZ kits
But we are still crossing our fingers over here, with the hope of possibly seeing a Ver.2.0 of the AoZ making its way as a regular retail kit release, someday.
And no, we don’t mean seeing it getting that stupidly expensive MGEX release.
Anyways, with that concludes today’s 224th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Honestly, before we all here heard the news, we were starting to get quite worried that P-Bandai might not be as enthusiastic about the idea of releasing another AoZ MG kit. That is one of the reasons why we are so happy to see this P-Bandai MG kit.
We do hope that we would be able to see P-Bandai finally gets around in releasing the MG Hazel Owsla with the Gigantic Arm version or the Woundwort eventually.
