As the world burns its nice to be able to work on things that make you smile
Quite frankly, I was quite ecstatic to be again found myself working on a new P-Bandai MG kit. I was so excited about working on it up until it manages to take me off from writing the review for the RG EVA-01.
Unsurprisingly enough, when I do finally get to work on it, I do find myself having alot of fun with it.
So, without further ado, let me now elaborate further on my overall experience with this P-Bandai MG kit, shall we?
When I completed the RG EVA-01, I found myself quite excited to start work on this, and lo and behold, I had a fantastic time working on building the P-Bandai MG GM Cold Districts chest unit. However, eventhough I was having fun working on it, I do notice that if you are familiar with the MG GM Sniper II and the MG GM Command (like me), you will find that there are bits of the two previous MG’s that you are familiar with here.
Honestly, I was quite impressed with the level of detail that I do get here. Yes, admittedly, the level of detail seen on this P-Bandai MG GM Cold Districts Type head unit might not be as detailed as I wanted it to be, but even with that said, I still feel that it still manages to look awesome overall.
However, completing the P-Bandai MG GM Cold Districts Type’s head unit was the one that made me smile the most. Because I do think that the P-Bandai design team nailed the look of the GM Cold Districts Type’s head unit here. This is definitely my favorite MG GM head design out of all that I’ve seen to date.
What’s more, working on this kit made me realize how much fun working on waterslides can be when you take your time and day to apply them to your Gunpla kit. Yes, I did screw up one or two decals along the way here, but because I had so much fun working on them, I wasn’t at all discouraged by it. Instead, I find myself more encouraged to do a better job here!
Not to mention they as well look a hell of a lot better than the Sticker decals that come with the retail versions for both the MG and RG kits. Which does make me wonder if I should consider using only waterslides in my future Gunpla builds. Hmm.
Now with that said, it is time for me to go back to building the P-Bandai MG 1/100 RGM-79D GM [Cold Districts Type] (MG).
Before I leave, do feel free to let me know of your thoughts on my WIP progress so far here in the comment section. As well, feel free to share your WIP of your MG GM Cold Districts Type experiences here. I do enjoy reading and reacting to your thoughts and experiences.
