The exciting prototype kits that we are looking forward to
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 249th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be finally be taking the time to talk about the last bit of the Gunpla EXPO 2020 Tokyo reveals that we are excited about, the ‘still in Development’ Gunplas bit.
Because even though they are still not finished or completed, we do think that we will eventually be seeing them released sometime soon.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?
MG 1/100 GN-005 Gundam Virtue / GN-004 Nadleeh (MG)

Estimated price: JPY TBC

With the release of the MG Kyrios, it was quite clear to us all that we would eventually be getting the MG Virtue and Nadleeh sometime soon. However, we thought that there is no way that they would be able to release the two of them in one release. So, we thought at first that we would more likely see Bandai release the two MG kits separately.
That is why when we all saw this prototype MG reveal, we were all mindblown. Because never in our wildest imagination that we’ll see that Bandai plans to release the two of them as one singular release.
Well, that is if it turns out to be the case here.
Why?
The reason for that, because Bandai is still keeping a tight lid on the Nadleeh part of this MG release, we can imagine that they might be working out to properly make both the transformation of the MG Virtue to the Nadleeh work still.
There is still alot of things that are not known here with the upcoming Nadleeh part of this MG release and yes, pictured behind there is the Prototype Nadleeh
That is why that is the part of this MG reveal that we are quite interested in, and we are as well quite curious to see how much of the Virtue’s armor would affect the articulation of the whole MG kit. Not to mention its overall weight as well, because we are quite concerned if we can mount the MG Virtue at all on the existing action Bases.
Even though nothing is yet confirmed, however, from what we can tell from the looks alone, is that we are most definitely going to be looking at one very handsome MG Virtue/Nadleeh.
That is one handsome chonky boi
Which, truthfully, does help to increase our excitement in wanting to see more of it, hopefully as soon as we can.
(P-Bandai) HG 1/144 Gundam Germinass 02 Ground Combat Heavy Armor Expansion Parts (HGAC)
(P-Bandai) HG 1/144 Gundam Germinass 02 Ground Combat Heavy Armor Expansion parts (HGAC)
Release Date: TBC
Estimated price: JPY TBC
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation
Out of all the expansion parts for the Germinass 02 that we are most looking forward to seeing, this might be the one that we wanted to see the most.
Why?
Well, that is because this is, without a doubt, one of the most badass weapons and armor attachments to the Germinass 02. The upgrade turns the scrawny Germinas 02 into one of the best looking chunky boys out there. Quite frankly, we do think that this is most definitely, one of the best-looking Wing MS to date.
Look at all of that chonky goodness.
Which does make us wonder, why didn’t Bandai make this Wing Side Story into an anime yet?
Yes, as you can already tell from our tone, we are quite looking forward to getting this upgrade for the HGAC Germinass 02.
Especially when we all here spend time to take a closer look at how badass the prototype version of this kit looked here. Because it is clear to us all from what we see here, it does look like P-Bandai did a pretty good job in designing the Germinass 02’s Ground Battle Expansion parts.
Beautiful, that is the only thing that came out from our mouth when we saw this
That is something that we all here find to be quite impressive, considering that all of this is still in the prototype stage.
We do look forward to seeing more details of it soon enough, and we do hope that P-Bandai would be sensible in the pricing for this particular expansion part set.
This pandemic has taken so much from us financially already.
(P-Bandai) HG 1/144 RX-80PR-2 Pale Rider Calvary (HGUC)
HG 1/144 RX-80PR-2 Pale Rider Calvary (HGUC)
Release Date: TBC
Estimated price: JPY TBC
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation
If there is one variant of the Pale Rider that we all here are looking forward to most seeing from the MSG Side Story: Missing Link manga series, that would most definitely be the Pale Rider Calvary.
That is why this particular P-Bandai HG kit is the one that is currently sitting on our most wanted watchlist for 2021. For a good reason too.
Because even though this kit is still in its prototype stage, we can already tell that this is going to be another good looking P-Bandai HGUC kit. Although even with that said, we can imagine that this is mostly going to be more of the same.
Why?
Yeah, why so?
Well, that is because the Pale Rider Calvary is the 5th version of the Pale Rider HGUC Variant (the 3rd being the awesome Todesritter) that we can see will be using mostly the same familiar parts. Yes, admittedly, there are some changes made for this version. However, we can’t imagine the overall experience of building this to be any different than all the other HGUC Pale Rider variant releases that we’ve seen.
But even despite that said, we do admit that we don’t mind it as much. Because we are a HUGE fan of all the awesome HGUC Pale Rider Variants, and they are quite a decent HGUC kit.
But we do wonder how is it going to be able to sustain that big gun on its hands.
Honestly, we are looking forward to seeing more of this P-Bandai HGUC kit when they announce it somewhere next year.
Anyways, that concludes our 249th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Finally, we managed to cover all the main Gunpla reveals made during the recent Gunpla EXPO 2020 Tokyo event. Even though there are still the no-grade 1/100 kits and all the SD kits that we haven’t talked about, however, we do think that we do want to take a short break before we cover that and let Kimi focus on working on his upcoming MG GM Cold Districts Review.
Anyways, we will be back again this coming Tuesday (hopefully) with more Gunpla/ Gundam merch related posts for this blog. So do look forward to that :D!
