The last batch left to talk about
Hello! We are back!
In today’s 253rd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will continue where we left off with the Gunpla EXPO 2020 Tokyo SD releases. Interestingly enough, as we were busy working on other things, Bandai sneakily added in the confirmed RSP’s for the upcoming SD kits talked about in the last segment.
We will now update the segment with the updated prices for the said SD kits. So if you are curious to know how much the upcoming SD kits would cost, you could go back to the previously published segment to check em out.
Anyways, let us now talk about the other Gunpla EXPO 2020 Tokyo SD reveals, shall we?

If there is an SD kit that we’ve seen from the Gunpla EXPO 2020 Tokyo that we here think is a little bit too much, this would definitely be it. Seriously as we spend time staring at it, we do believe that the SD Goku Gundam is an SD kit that we feel that the Bandai SD MS designers went all out mad.
Usually, that would be a good thing, but unfortunately, that isn’t the case here. Because what Bandai ends up creating here is an SD kit that looks quite ugly.
Well, to be precise, ugly, and flashy all at the same time.
A little bit too much for our liking tbh
Yes, clearly, we are not a fan of this design made by them. That is why we decided to talk about it in this segment instead.
But even with that said, we can understand why one would be interested in this. Because even despite all we said, we can imagine someone looking at this and falling in love with it.
I mean, we can imagine someone falling in love with that fiery dragon crown on top of that head unit, and as well its Kungfu Martial Artist inspired design. Not to mention, since they designed the SD Goku on the Strike Gundam, we can imagine fans of the Strike design would as well love to have this.
we can still imagine people falling in love with this despite everything that we’ve said about it
But honestly, we can’t imagine anyone defending or falling in love with that leg beam blade thing. We here do not think that the Beam blade thing belongs there, and we as well feel that it made the whole, already ‘too much design’ alot more unbearable to look at for us.
So as you can already tell, yes, we’re not interested in getting this one.

The very first thing that came to our minds when we saw this was just how much this reminds us of the Pirates of the Caribbean favorite pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow. But at the same time, we as well realized that the SD MS designers for this SD lineup must really love the design from the Victory Gundam series because this SD kit uses the Victory Gundam as the base for its creation.
Honestly, we do find it quite funny that both ‘pirate’ SD MS’s from this lineup uses MS designs from that series, which does make us wonder if they were to decide on creating female Pirates, will it be based on the Gun-EZ’s? Because if they do, that would be quite fitting indeed.
It’s really nice to see the Victory converted into this badass looking SD kit
Anyways, Let’s now talk more about this unnamed SD kit. Besides the fact that the design for this yet to be named SD kit, created on the Victory Gundam, combined with that badass pirate-inspired looks, looking at it, we here do believe that unlike the Goku Gundam, Bandai honestly did a good job designing this SD kit.
From its color scheme and its looks, there is really a lot to love here, and honestly, we really can’t wait to see more of it as soon as Bandai makes the official announcement for this unnamed one.
Hopefully, they’ll name it Captain Jack Sparrow Gundam because that would be a really badass kit to have.

If we have seen Bandai released SD designs based on Pirates, Samurai’s, Kungfu martial artists, and Kamen Rider, it is to no surprise to us that Bandai would release an SD design based on Ninjas. Actually, we would be even more surprised if they didn’t include one in, because honestly? They are on a roll here.
Regardless, this is another SD MS design that we are quite impressed with here. Why? Well, that is because they managed to design a pretty badass looking Ninja SD kit. But the thing that we liked about the design seen on this SD kit is that, yes, at parts, some of the design elements do look a bit excessive. But unlike the SD Goku Gundam, that ‘excessive-ness’ looks attractive, and it as well fits the overall look of the SD kit.
An excessively good looking SD kit, this
Not to mention, we all here do think that the color scheme used here makes this unnamed SD kit looked quite sexy. But then again, it does look like to us that they used mostly the same sexy Delta Plus design and colors as the base for this SD kit, and they only did a few changes here and there. Maybe that is why they still managed to make it look badass.
Yes, as you guys can already tell, we are looking forward to this one, and we do hope that we would be able to see more of it as soon as Bandai makes that official announcement for this SD kit.
Anyways, that concludes our 253rd edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. FINALLY, we managed to cover all of the main Gunpla reveals for both Retail and P-Bandai from the Gunpla EXPO 2020 Tokyo event.
We do look forward to the day that we would see all the reveals that we see today finally making it as an official release.
