The best kind of Cavalry.
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 256th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at one P-Bandai’s newest Gunpla release announcements for this week and take the time to discuss what we think of it.
From what we can see here, this kit that we are going to be discussing is one that we’ve seen the prototype version of it during the recent Gunpla EXPO 2020 event.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

The best not-Gundam Gundam that we’ve seen to date.
Back when this was revealed to all of us last week, we thought for sure that P-Bandai would announce this HGUC kit somewhere early next year. So we were quite surprised to see P-Bandai making the announcement for this HGUC kit now.
But even with that said, we would admit that it is nice to see this finally gone through the prototype stage and into the full production status.
The only thing that we are not particularly happy about with this announcement is that this kit is still getting that P-Bandai treatment.
Funnily enough, despite this getting that P-Bandai release, we are glad to see P-Bandai still going ahead to release this. Maybe seeing people’s responses/reactions to this release might have pushed them to make the announcement earlier?
Maybe someday we will see the MG version of this sometime soon.
Or it could be because they have bigger plans for this particular MS design? Because they also released a statement that they would be starting the ‘Pale Rider Plan’ with this being the first kit released under the said program.
Regardless of what the case might be, the one thing that we know for sure is that after spending time staring at this announcement, we all here do think that this is going to be one real badass looking HGUC kit.
Seriously, it is hard not to spend time with this and not fall in love with it. Because, quite frankly, there is a lot to love here, from its badass looks, all the awesome stuff that this kit is getting, and best of all, its badass color scheme.
So yeah, as you can already imagine, this is a P-Bandai kit that we are damn sure a lot of people, with us included, will have this HGUC Pale Rider Cavalry in their 2021 Gunpla wishlist.
Especially when this kit comes with the awesome Beam Javelin.
However, there is one thing that we are quite concerned about when we look at this kit, and that would be the fact that this kit looks like it would be a bit inconsistent.
Why do we say that? Well, even though this kit will get alot of new parts included together here, but at the same time, it would as well come with a lot of pretty aged parts. So, yes, that is why we mentioned that this kit would be inconsistent because we can already tell that this is one of those HGUC kits that comes with very questionable quality. Seriously we can already see some of the issues that we might have to deal with even by looking at its promotional materials.
The seamline issue seen on this P-Bandai kit is probably one of the worst I’ve seen on a new kit to date
Yes, admittedly, the issues that we see on the HGUC Pale Rider Cavalry isn’t really so much of a problem for us to deal with if it’s a cheap retail kit, but seeing that this is a premium release, we do expect P-Bandai to do better here.
Seriously P-Bandai, we do not understand why you insist on keeping to do the bare minimum on a kit that you are asking us to sell our kidneys to get. Honestly, we wouldn’t mind spending a lot of money on getting the P-Bandai kits from you as long as you released something worth getting. But the thing is, we keep seeing lazy releases coming from you.
Regardless, with that said, we are still looking forward to getting this kit still, and hopefully, this would end up becoming a decent HGUC kit. If it isn’t well, that would be alot of money wasted.
Hopefully, its good looks are enough to make us feel like this worth getting.
Anyways, that concludes our 256th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Honestly, we are glad that P-Bandai finally released the official release date for this HGUC kit. Despite the issues that we could see on the HGUC Pale Rider Cavalry, we admit that it still does look quite good regardless.
While at the same time, we do feel quite guilty for liking this.
Quite frankly, we are still considering setting aside some of the 2021 Gunpla funds for this P-Bandai HGUC kit. But we’ll see what Bandai has in store for us all for next year. Hopefully, we’ll find a Gunpla kit that we would be more than willing to part with our money with, so yeah, for now, we’ll see how it goes.
Anyways, we will be back again the next coming Saturday (hopefully) with more Gunpla/ Gundam merch related posts for this blog. So do look forward to that!
