A bunch of pretty fascinating retail SD kits

HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 264th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will continue where we left off with the recent retail Gunpla release announcements and spend time talking about them. Although, since there is only the SD announcement is left to talk about, so yes, we will be talking about them SD kits. 

But since Kimi is still recovering, we will take it slow for today and talk about the two Retail SD kits that we all here most looking forward to seeing more of them.

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we? 

SD SDW Heroes Sargent Verde Buster Gundam (SDGWH)

Estimated price: JPY 660 (MYR RM 25.63* / USD $ 6.34* / EUR € 5.21*)

Out of all the SD Heroes kit that we’ve seen during last years, Gunpla EXPO Tokyo 2020 reveals, this is the one SD kit that we are most excited to see. 

However, since it is an SD kit, we don’t have such high expectations because we know it wouldn’t get the same treatment as its larger brethren. But after spending some time going through the SDGWH Sargent Verde Buster Gundam’s press release, we admit that we are starting to be a bit more excited about this. 

Why?

Well, for one, that is because Bandai did a damn good job with the SDGWH Sargent Verde Buster Gundam’s CG press release. Bandai did such a damn good job with the press release that we here were finding ourselves more excited for it.

Although from the press release, the SDGWH Sargent Verde Buster Gundam kit that we see here is mostly a CG render, we can’t say for sure if this is how the SDGWH Sargent Verde Buster Gundam would look out of the box. 

However, the looks aren’t the thing that we are impressed by here. Because from the looks of it, it does seem like you can articulate its arms. 

Honestly, that is something that we here do find it to be quite impressive if we were to be really frank. Because usually, that is something that we don’t expect to see on a cheap 660 yen SD kit.

What’s more, Bandai went as far as to make the SD Sargent Verde Buster Gundam’s body moveable. So, you can pose the SDGWH Sargent Verde Buster Gundam with the SD Sojuden Trinity Bike.

It is safe to say that we are quite impressed with the amount of effort done here to make us lust for it.

So yeah, we are definitely be getting this one for sure.

SD SDW Heroes Benjamin V2 Gundam (SDGWH)

The SDGWH Benjamin V2 Gundam is another kit from the Gunpla EXPO Tokyo 2020 reveal that we are quite excited to see what it has to offer from going through its press release.  

Although, unlike the SDGWH Sargent Verde Buster Gundam’s press release. The SDGWH Benjamin V2 Gundam’s is press release is a more typical SD kit release announcement. 

From the looks of it, it doesn’t seem like it comes with parts that would enable it to have more dynamic poses. However, after spending time with it, we think the looks alone and some of the simple poses that it could do, is enough to justify its purchase. 

Not to mention all the badass looking weapons and types of equipment that the SDGWH Benjamin V2 Gundam gets, it’s hard for us not to be impressed by this.

Although we admit that after seeing all the different colors scheme used on this SD kit, we are starting to feel like this is most likely be one SD kit that would require a lot of sticker parts usage here. 

But even with that said, even if it does require a lot of sticker use, the SDGWH Benjamin V2 Gundam is still going to be one quite good looking kit, regardless. 

So yes, we would be getting this. Of course, with some paints to use on this as well. 

Anyways, that concludes our 264th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. There are still some Retail SD Gunpla kits to talk about, which we will cover in the upcoming Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Which we are quite excited to move on to next. 

Hopefully, Kimi would be well enough to slog through the next round of discussion for the last few bits of the Retail SD kits announcement.
