Now we can finally complete the floating clown hands collection.

HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 270th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will continue where we left off with the P-Bandai announcement and discuss our thoughts on one of the upcoming P-Bandai Gunpla releases. Interestingly enough, the Gunpla release announcement that we will be talking about today is an MS design taken from the Gundam Crossbone Manga Steel 7 series. 

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we? 

HG 1/144 Libertas Dextra Dictus (Callisto Shadow Unit)

With the release of the HGUC Jurisdis Sinistra Dictus (Callisto Light’s Unit) a few months back, you may think that P-Bandai would immediately announce the HGUC Libertas Dextra Dictus to coincide with its release. But we were quite surprised to see that they only decided to make the announcement now, a few months after HGUC Jurisdis Sinistra Dictus’s release.

Which we honestly do find to be something that is a bit uncharacteristic of P-Bandai to do here. Because usually, they would be quick to want to announce something new that would make them money. So to see them taking their time with announcing the HGUC Libertas Dextra Dictus while at the same time giving other people time to catch up by getting the HGUC Jurisdis Sinistra Dictus first is something that we are pleasantly surprised to see.

So good job there, P-Bandai.

So with all of that out of the way, let us now talk about the actual kit itself. Because, well, that’s is what we are here to do. 

From what we can see, the HGUC Libertas Dextra Dictus is practically the flipped version of the HGUC Jurisdis Sinistra Dictus. Yes, just like the previous P-Bandai HGUC Crossbone X-0 that we talked about, there isn’t anything different when we compared this release to its left-hand variant (well, except it being the right-hand variant, of course). But then again, it is expected, considering that is what we learn from the manga.

But the thing that got us all here interested in this release is that P-Bandai said that the parts in between the two variants could easily be interchangeable. Which does make us wonder at first, why do we want to do that? Especially when the ones that are getting this probably would have gotten the HGUC Jurisdis Sinistra Dictus already.

But after taking some time to think about it, maybe by doing so, it might be possible for us to create a unique variant of the Dictus. We may be able to create a completely black or white version of the Dictus. 

Honestly, we do not know that is possible since we all here haven’t managed to secure one yet. But with P-Bandai announcing the reprint of the HGUC Jurisdis Sinistra Dictus at the same time as the HGUC Libertas Dextra Dictus’s announcement, maybe it is the perfect time for us to make that leap and see for ourselves if that is even possible. 

Yes, with that said, we are looking forward to getting this weird P-Bandai HGUC release, and we do hope that we’ll see P-Bandai continue down this path of bringing more weird MS designs into Gunpla form.

Plus, who wouldn’t want to have some weird clown hands robot displayed in their collection?

Anyways, that concludes our 270th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Finally, we managed to catch up with all of this week’s P-Bandai release, and now we can move on to the next post talking about all of that badass retail releases.
