The T pose to rule all T poses.
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 278th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking the time to talk about one of The Gundam Base’s newest Gunpla release announcements.
The one that we purposely pushed for us all to spend time to talk about it today. The one with that infamous T-pose 1/100 figure.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

The pink Zaku with its pet the T-pose Meer
If the recent P-Bandai’s announcement of the Rey Za Burrel’s Blaze Zaku Phantom MG kit made us all mad, this The Gundam Base’s version, however, made us go: “Oh wow, they actually did it!”
Why?
Well, that is because we were quite impressed by how ridiculous all of it looked. Not to mention, this was one of those Zaku Warrior variants that we did find funny that they went out to release as a Gunpla kit. But surprisingly enough, we would admit that despite the ridiculousness, it is both accurate to its anime portrayal and at the same time managed to look quite good as well.
Honestly, this is a pretty dope pose
Because, well, technically, it is just the recolored version of the MG Lunamaria’s Gunner Zaku Warrior, so it’s quite undeniably so that this MG kit would look good. But the thing that made us all quite like this one is that it comes with some pretty dope ‘Lacus Clyne’ waterslide decals.
So good job there, you Gundam Base chaps.
Even with that said, there is one thing that we do have a problem with here.
That is the overall color scheme of this MG kit. Yes, we know it is a bit petty for us to egg on a kit based on a pink MS. But can’t they at least make the pink on this MG kit look decent? Because they made the plastic parts look like they made it from cheap plastic. To be more precise, The Gundam Base managed to make it look like a cheap toy.
The pink color scheme on this doesn’t look that good tbh
Seriously, if they could make the color scheme of the MG Lunamaria’s parts look sexy as heck, they could’ve at least taken the time to make this version looked better.
With that all said and done, are we actually interested in getting this variant of the MG SEED Zaku Warrior? Well, to be honest, though? We prolly give this the same treatment as we did with its HG version, a pass.
A shame really because this does come with some pretty dope decals tho
Anyways, that concludes our 278th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. You guys prolly wondering why we didn’t egg on The Gundam Base on the infamous Meer Campbell 1/100 scale painted monstrosity?
Well, that is because we think it takes quite a lot to be able to paint that 1/100 figure in that detail. Plus, we honestly do not think we could’ve done a much better job painting a 1/100 scaled figure like that anyway. So yeah, that is why we didn’t go and egg on The Gundam Base chaps on that.
But even with that said, we think it is quite hilarious that The Gundam Base decided to design the figure in that T pose. It’s like they know that this would make for a good meme. The least that they could do is paint it in a way that would make it more meme-worthy.
It almost looks like a watered-down friendlier version of a jap horror monster that we watched a long time ago.
Anyways, we will be back again next coming Thursday (hopefully) with more Gunpla/ Gundam merch-related posts for this blog, so yes, please do look forward to that!
