Work in Progress : HG 1/144 AGX-04 Gerbera-Tetra (HGUC)

It has been a while, huh?

Time is something that I realized that I do not have alot of nowadays. Work and Health have been some of the factors that have been majorly hampering my time working on Gunplas, and not to mention I have been quite busy with all our Let’s Talk Gunpla posts as well.

In which I’m starting to wonder if I should scale down the posts for a bit? So I could spend more time working on the backlogs that I have in hand. But honestly, what do you guys think? Should I post less and focus more on Building and Review? Or should I keep doing what I’m doing right now?

Do let me know in the comment section below or on our Reddit post.

But even with that said, I’m still happy that I still have time to work on the HGUC Gerbera-Tetra. Eventhough it does take alot longer than expected, haha.

So since the Review is a bit further off, let us now take the time to talk about my current impressions on this HGUC kit, shall we?

First, let us talk about the time I spend on HG Gerbera-Tetra’s chest unit. Because honestly, I was quite surprised to see that there is alot of different individual parts that are here for just this particular section. Which I do find makes the whole process to be both quite complex and fun. Not to mention, because the parts were well-segmented, I had a lot of fun working on doing some painting and panel lining on this bit.

It was a positive indicator that things are just starting to get more fun for me here.

Even the Backpack unit was a joy to work on here. Yes, the whole thing is pretty uncomplicated to work on, but the parts separation on this bit is what I was most impressed by here.

Why?

Well, that is because even if you leave it as is, the color separation on the bit here looks so good that you can leave it as is.

But that’s not the only bit that I was impressed by here.

That is because I find that even the HG Gerbera-Tetra’s head was a joy to work on! Again, just like my experience with building the backpack and the chest unit, I was surprised to see how the parts was almost flawlessly color-coordinated here. Even the stickers that I had to use here work flawlessly.

I admit that I was starting to be immensely impressed by this so far.

However, that all started to change as soon as I started building the arm unit bit. Because even though the experience building it was fun overall, but I was a bit taken aback by the seam line on the HG Gerbera-Tetra’s shoulder armor.

But even with that said, I would admit that the seam line issue doesn’t seem to bother me that much.

Why?

Well, that is because its completed look does look good overall. That is as long as if you took the time to paint some of the unpainted parts. But even with that said, I would admit that painting some of the section up is quite tricky. So for this bit, I would advise taking it slow and don’t rush the process.

The lower half of the HG Gerbera-Tetra was as well a joy to build. Yes, admittedly, some parts do require some paintwork. But Bandai designed the said parts here to be easy to be painted on. Even those that are new to this would even find that too troublesome to do.

Overall, so far, I would say that my time with this kit has been quite positive, and I’m honestly really looking forward to finishing this HGUC kit up as soon as I can.

I have a strong feeling that I would be happy with how it would turn out in the end.

Now with that said, it is time for me to get my ass back to building it.
