The fastest Strike Gundam?

HELLO! We are back! 

In today’s 283rd edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking the time to talk about TWO of P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcements.

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

MG 1/100 GAT-X105+P204QX Lightning Strike Gundam (MG)

We thought that it would take P-Bandai awhile to do this. Because honestly, we were expecting to see P-Bandai give the MG Strike Gundam Ver.RM Full Pack China’s P-Bandai exclusive sometime to be in the Chinese market before releasing it for the rest of us to consume.

But alas, we are glad to see P-Bandai decided against waiting too long and announced this regardless. 

What’s more, it is nice to see them release this in its standard colors instead of the ugly China-exclusive color scheme. But then again, it makes sense for them to do so since that China color scheme isn’t really canonically accurate. 

But yes, it looks a heck of alot better than the China Exclusive colors.

But enough of us talking about the color scheme, let us talk about the actual kit itself, shall we? 

Quite frankly, we are impressed by what we see here. Yes, admittedly, you do get a lot of the same thing here with the MG Strike Gundam Ver.RM bit. That is why the bit that stands out the most here is its Lightning Striker Pack.

For one, we’re thankful to be able to see more of what this thing can do from the promotional pictures, and at the same time, it’s nice that we were able to get a closer look at it. 

Secondly, and as well lastly, we as well do think that Bandai nails the design for the MG Lightning Striker Pack. P-Bandai did such a good job here that we feel that design-wise, the Lightning Striker Pack looked even better in Gunpla form when compared to its illustrated design.

So yeah, good job P-Bandai. 

But we know that for some of you here, you might not like the idea of getting another MG Strike Gundam Ver.RM, and all you really want is just the Lightning Striker Pack. 

Well, worry not, P-Bandai has you covered there as well there.

With this, the Lightning Striker Pack expansion for your existing MG Strike Gundam Ver.RM. Yes, P-Bandai as well made a stand-alone version of the MG Lightning Striker just for you.

So if you think that getting the whole kit is a bit too much, well, you can go for this version. Or better yet, for those Budget-conscious as we are, you could go for this and get another MG Strike Gundam Ver.RM. We reckon that it’ll be cheaper that way if you really want to have a separate MG Strike Gundam Ver.RM with the Lightning Striker pack attached to it. 

All in all, we do think that this is a pretty awesome kit to have if you’re a fan of the MG Strike Gundam Ver.RM. That is why we are really looking forward to getting this one come August this year.

That concludes our 283rd edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Honestly, we are glad to see some Gunpla news. We have been feeling a tad bit uneasy recently seeing Bandai releasing new Plamo kits but no new Gunpla kit announcements.  

We hope this trend would end eventually because we really do not want to only be getting new Gunplas from just P-Bandai. It’ll be nice to see the retail side release something as well.
