I wonder if this is a nod to the awesome MG F91 Ver.1.0?
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 7th edition of our Let’s Talk Gundam Merch segment, we will be taking the time to talk about one of the retail side’s latest Metal Build mecha figure release announcement. It seems like from what we can see here, P-Bandai really outdid themselves here.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

The sexiest Crossbone
With the release of the X-1 back in February of 2019, inevitably, we know that eventually, we’ll get the best Crossbone variant as a Metal Build mecha figurine, and sure enough, now we finally get it.
However, we honestly didn’t expect it to be an even more badass release when compared to the Metal Build X-1.
So you might be wondering what this version of the Crossbone gets that sets it apart from the original Metal Build X-1 release? Well, honestly? You do get a lot. For one, you get the X-3 I-Field embedded manipulators, the awesome Muramasa Blaster, the Scissor Anchor, a new chest unit with the Mega Machine Cannon attached to it, and best of all, this comes with the X-3’s custom colors and its custom decals.
Honestly you do get alot of stuff with this release
But you might be thinking while we listed all of that down, hey, that’s all things that one would be expecting to get if one decided to get this. So is there anything else that this kit gets that makes the Metal Build X-3 different from the Metal Build X-1?
Well, there is, and that is this.
the EMA-06 Elegorela
Yes, the Metal Build X-3 decided to take the MG F91 route by including one huge antagonist MA, the Elagorela, as a diorama base for the Metal Build X-3. But unlike the MG F91’s, the ‘mecha’ stand that you get here for this Metal Build X-3 is even more robust. It comes with a semi-working arm unit to help recreate one of the battle scenes. It as well comes pre-damaged to help recreate that scene better.
Honestly, we are really impressed with this. That is why despite its insane asking price, we do think that, at the very least, it is worth spending that much to get all of this awesomeness.
This is why you spend so much on it, so you can have a working action base with the Mecha Figure
And if we were to have money to get this, we would’ve made the PO’s for this badass Metal Build mecha figure. Too bad that we are already saving up for a PG kit instead of this.
Bad P-Bandai.
Anyways, that concludes our 6th edition of the Let’s Talk Gundam Merch segment. With the announcement of new Gunplas and Gundam-related releases from the P-Bandai side, we admit that we do feel a bit better now.
But the lack of any new news from the Retail side is the most worrying for us. Maybe we do hope that this is just a temporary thing. Because we are really hoping to hear more retail news, especially concerning that one RG kit reveal from late last year’s Gunpla EXPO event.
Anyways, we will be back again next coming Tuesday (hopefully) with more Gunpla/ Gundam merch-related posts for this blog, so yes, please do look forward to that!
Oh, one more thing before we go, it would be a tremendous help to us all here in the blog if you guys were to leave a like on our posts and or subscribe to the blog if you find yourselves enjoying our gunpla/plamo related posts. We would appreciate it if you guys would take the time to show your support by leaving an upvote on our R/Gunpla posts and by leaving a like on our Facebook and Instagram posts or pages!
We are as well open to any good and bad feedback, so feel free to write away.
Hopefully, by sharing our love and passion for building and writing about gunplas or other plamos here, we hope that it’ll help to inspire all of here to pick up on the hobby. Or better yet, reignite your love and passion for the hobby.
Anyways, we shall see all of you again soon, and we as well hope that you all here have a splendid day and week ahead! Oh as well, please do have an excellent time building your awesome gunplas there and until next time.
Ciao!
