The Titan that we want to be
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 289th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at one P-Bandai’s newest Gunpla release announcements. Because apparently, P-Bandai has yet another Pale rider variant that they have in mind to release.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?
HG 1/144 RX-80PR-4 Pale Rider DII (Titans Specifications)(HGUC)
Release Date: August 2021
Estimated price: JPY 2,420 (MYR RM 91.78* / USD $ 22.24* / EUR € 18.55*)
*The price is subject to change, depending on the situation
Even though the Titans was never our favorite antagonist faction of the whole Gundam series, we would at least admit that the signature ‘Titans’ color scheme does look badass on any MS that dons it.
But we were a bit baffled by the naming for this P-Bandai HGUC kit. Because from our understanding of the lore, the DII only saw service with the Titans, so obviously, this MS only comes in that signature ‘Titans’ color scheme.
So then, what do they mean with the Titans Specification title? Are they implying that we might be seeing this in another color scheme?
Admittedly as we spend all of our time looking at this, we do start to wonder at first what makes this version different from the HGUC Pale Rider Calvary? Well, if we were, to be honest, the only changes that we can see done here are on the head unit and the overall color scheme, that’s all. The rest is pretty much standard things that you’ll get with the HGUC calvary.
But still, the HGUC Pale Rider DII is quite an insanely good-looking HGUC kit. I can’t imagine anyone looking at this and not wanting to have it in their hands.
How do we know of this? Because all of us here agree that this is the HGUC P-Bandai that we would want to own as soon as it hits our shores sometime this coming August.
That is how we know.
With that concludes our 289th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Honestly, we’re really impressed by P-Bandai’s latest offering here. Looking at how good the HGUC Pale Rider DII makes us wonder if we would see the Dullahan version makes its way sometime soon.
Anyways, we will be back again next coming Thursday (hopefully) with more Gunpla/ Gundam merch-related posts for this blog, so yes, please do look forward to that!
