Let’s Talk Gunpla Vol.297

A nice P-Bandai surprise.

HELLO! We are back!

In today’s 297th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at P-Bandai’s latest Gunpla release announcement. And boy, oh boy, it looks like we are getting another entry for the MG F90 A to Z Mission pack kit series.

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

The MG F90’s A to Z Mission Pack series has always never failed to impress us with every new entry to the series. With the Type W’s reveal today, it looks like P-Bandai again delivers here.

Because man, we do get a pretty badass-looking flight unit attachment for the F90.

Even though, yes, we admit that the F90 already has two flight unit attachments made for it, like the I type and the badass U type attachment. But none of it looked to push the design of the MG F90 to make it look like a plane.

Finally, after a long wait, we now have an attachment that would force the MG F90’s design to do just that, the type W attachment. The first MG F90 attachment that we feel that really turns the MG F90 into a plane.

Well, at the very least, the one that made it look the closest to a plane-like thing. Well, to be more precise, it looked like a plane-like thing with beam wings.

Yes, you heard us right, the type W had beam wings, on top of having normal-ish wings. Talk about overkill.

Also, we can’t help to feel a strong Wing and Sword Impulse Gundam vibe when we look at this MG F90 attachment. This bit conveniently brings us to the next point, the looks. Because honestly? That is one thing that the designers of this attachment got right in spades.

Even though we know that this design came from a concept design back in the early ’90s, one cannot help to feel like both the designers of the Wing Gundam and the Sword Impulse Gundam might have gotten their inspiration from the design of this type W attachment.

That is how badass this thing looked because it looked like both the Wing Gundam and Sword Impulse Gundam had a baby together, and you end up with this badass MS. Though it does look kind of weird, but honestly? We all here love how it looks.

That is why we are looking forward to this one.

With that concludes our 297th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Honestly, we were surprised to see P-Bandai’s announcement on this. We really didn’t expect to hear from P-Bandai so soon.

But even with that said, we admit that we are still quite happy to see P-Bandai continuing with this badass MG lineup and with 12 more attachments left. We are looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us all in the near future.

Anyways, we will be back again this coming Thursday (hopefully) with more Gunpla/ Gundam merch-related posts for this blog, so yes, please do look forward to that!
