A Beautiful Red caped Leo.
HELLO! We are back!
In today’s 299th edition of our Let’s Talk Gunpla segment, we will be taking a look at P-Bandai’s newest Gunpla release announcement. It is probably one that we didn’t expect to see being made into Gunpla this soon, and not to mention one that we really didn’t expect it to look this good as well.
So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

This might be one of the fanciest Leo that I’ve seen to date, not to mention one of the most badass looking ones as well.
Even though we were expecting to see badass MS designs coming from this P-Bandai exclusive HGAC G-Unit lineup, we only expected them to focus on releasing all the Gundam units from the series.
So, we are shocked to see this kit announced.
But we aren’t just shocked by the sudden announcement of this version of the HGAC Leo. We are as well quite shocked to see how badass it looked here as well.
Because when we first heard of it, though shocked, we weren’t expecting much of it. We thought to ourselves, P-Bandai prolly designed some very minor changes here and there and slapped in a color change, some new weapons, and a cape. Poof, jobs done.
But after a much closer inspection, that doesn’t seem to be the case here
Even though that is what exactly they did here with this kit, but we didn’t expect to see the extent of where they’re going with the redesign work to convert the standard HGAC Leo to the Leo-S version.
Because from what we can see here, it is clear that they redesigned most of the existing parts of the HGAC Leo, like the chest unit, leg parts, and the head unit, quite considerably. Up to the point that they improved some of the things that we are bothered with, the HGAC Leo. Even the new bits created for this release look pretty impressive, like the new shoulder armor cape thing, its flintlock-inspired beam rifle, and the awesome Gyan beam saber-inspired beam saber.
But the best bit of all is probably the redesigned head unit. Because honestly, it looks as if they are trying to hint to us that we will get the Tallgeese as an HGAC release soon.
Somehow this looks quite intimidating
Why?
Well, because they spend time designing the HGAC Leo-S to come with a Tallgeese inspired head inner frame design. Because of that, you can easily swap the Sazabi-ish head for the Leo inner frame head unit. Oh, while we are on the subject of the Leo-S’s Sazabi-ish head design, honestly? We are really impressed by how good it looked. We have seen alot of awesome head designs, but this takes the cake for us here. But best of all, you could also have more dynamic head poses that you could do with this kit.
You can tell that we are all quite impressed with this P-Bandai HGAC G-Unit release announcement. Why wouldn’t we’d be? We are sure that you guys would be as well as impressed as we are if you were to spend time looking at this awesome kit.
Somehow rather this pose of the HGAC Leo-S gives a very strong Crossbone vibe.
Even though we have been seeing alot of pretty impressive releases coming from the P-Bandai side, but this might be one of those P-Bandai release announcements this year that we all find ourselves quite impressed by here. Since this P-Bandai HGAC kit based on the HGAC Leo, it does makes us all even more excited for this kit’s eventual release.
Why?
Well, because we know that we will definitely have fun building this.
Definitely an experience that we are really looking to re-experience with this kit.
With that concludes our 299th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment. Quite frankly, this is one pretty awesome surprise from the P-Bandai side. Although, we do wonder if this release would be a clear indicator that we would be getting the Tallgeese as an HGAC release soon? Because it really looks like they have all the recipe to make that happen.
Anyways, we will be back again this coming Saturday (hopefully) with more Gunpla/ Gundam merch-related posts for this blog, so yes, please do look forward to that!
