A white duo
There are alot of quite fascinating Gunpla releases that we’ve seen announced by Bandai recently. But we haven’t really seen anything officially announced Gunplas coming from the P-Bandai side.
Well, it seems like that day has finally come because we now have a new P-Bandai kit announced.
Although we are surprised to see that this isn’t a kit that comes from the newly created HG Gundam Breaker Battlelouge (HGGBB) series, but instead comes from a series that we thought that Bandai isn’t interested in here.
What series that we’re talking about here? Well, it’s the Gundam F91 series. More precisely, it’s from the Gundam F91 prologue.
We honestly didn’t know that there is an F91 prologue manga that features two white F91’s.
Yes, even despite the fact that we keep seeing the Crossbone Gundam (yes, we consider the Crossbone series to be in the same series as the F91) keep getting new kits. We are still finding ourselves surprised every time they released new F91 or Crossbone Gundam-related kits. Especially ones that come from a new Gundam F91 prolog manga.
But enough talking about that, let us now shift our focus on the kit itself!
Honestly, we personally haven’t had yet build a retail HGUC F91 kit. But even with our lack of experience working on one, we can tell that these will be badass kits.
How do we know this?
Well, for one, as an HGUC kit, the level of detail seen here is insane for an HGUC kit. Yes, it might not have the same level of detail as what you see with the RG kits. However, the look is detailed enough to make us all here quite impressed by what we see here.
So why is this related to the P-Bandai kits? Well, that is because it still retains many of the same looks and characteristics as its standard release, so we don’t really expect the building experience of building this to be any different compared to its retail variant.
The same level of detail and all the same articulation gimmicks as what you get with the original version here.
But even with that said, there is one other thing that makes this release stand out. That is its Beam Machinegun. Yes, instead of the recognizable F91 beam rifle, we instead get a pretty badass-looking F91 Vital beam Machine Gun.
Why?
Well, that’s because it looked just like the Origins RX-78-2 Gundam’s early type beam rifle, but simpler, more streamlined look. Not to mention, we as well like the touch of a targeting reticle on the Beam Machine Guns optics. It does make it look cooler.
Not to mention the combination of white/blue (for unit one) and white/red (for unit two) looks quite good on the F91 mold.
Also, it is nice that they decided to bundle them both together. Yes, even though it would be expensive, but you’re getting two kits.
Expensive but worth it
So, yeah, we’re quite interested in getting this one.
With that concludes our 311th edition of the Let’s Talk Gunpla segment for today. Yes, we are aware of the other P-Bandai MG kit that they JUST announced, that’s why we will be back next Thursday to talk about it! So, please do look forward to that!
